ReplyDeleteDearest, I was in the garden yesterday trying to prune back GOBS of vines that were overgrown due to our wonderful rain showers! THEN I attempted to finish an Etsy order (still not done) while also going on a walk with RATTUS and then doing grocery shopping! I JUST SAW your messages on my Etsy page....something strange has happened. I no longer get notifications in my email about transactions, convos or pinterest repins! They are not in my Spam either. AND I did get a short email from you last night....
THIS DRAWING is ethereal and so lovely my dear. You have got something that I want: an ability to let the lines flow where they may. My lines are a bit rigid and I think with practice, I can get the look. She is dreaming of Paris and a little pink mouse...hmmmmm....I wonder what Bebe has up her little pink sleeve! I CANNOT WAIT!!!! I miss you so my dear.....this summer, let's bring back Nowhere????
OK, off to get the morning started. Mr. Rattus wants to go on another walk.....LOVE YOU!

Penny, I am just catching up, I have missed quite a bit! These drawings are so fine. The green eyes of the hat lady are perfect and LIZ's young face is so well done. I love the way you are able to keep a softness in the faces and hair, while still using shading and strong lines. You are wonderful with eyes. It has been ages since I actually drew PEOPLE. I am always painting critters. I have an itch to draw an elf or fairy.

Thank you! I am truly honored to receive such encouraging words from an artist such as yourself. I picked up my sketch book and have not put it down.. I guess I was just...in the mood.. I am out of practice with my portraits so it is good to put some time in.. I did so much rework on Liz to even come close... Thank you for the compliment on my eyes... No where near the quality of my grandaughters talent.
She is such an inspiration to me and my best critic. Thank you so much for coming over..
