Angel sketches

It is that time of year when Angels are in my mind.
I am a little under the weather,  so I am not sure if I will have a relief to share, but I have put pencil to paper.   I hope you enjoy viewing.

I will add more Angels to this post through the end of the month as I am able. I hope you will stop in again.

I would like to thank all of my dear blogger friends for always taking time to wander over.. Your kindness and friendship touches me.  You have given me such joy in reading all your posts.  Over the years I have had the pleasure of meeting so many wonderful and talented people..   To my old friends and new,  a very Happy Thanksgiving.

A special delivery from New Zealand

Hello dear friends,
Last week a special package arrived all the way from New Zealand.
Made with  gifted hands and a truly thoughtful and giving heart.  Dear Carolyn of Draffin Bears made these darling little pink booties for our Lily..  A little one she had never met,  yet took time to knit them just for her! I know when she grows out of them they will be tucked away and cherished  always.

They are so cute, and have a little button on the strap.

Now if she would only keep them on.

Thank you dear friend.   I am so touched , and Brittany sends her deepest thanks..

And a big shout out from Lily!

Love and blessings,
Penny

Piff the Penguin

Good evening, and blessings to everyone..  My computer has been in the shop having a clean up.
All good now and back on line.
You know how things usually happen in three's ?  Well,  first it was the water heater, then outside pipe for the hose,  then the computer.. So I think I'm done, right?   Things could be worse, so I will just count my blessings..

Please meet little ~Piff~  the Penguin.  Needle felted in beautiful sheep's wool over a wire armature.
He stands 6  1/2" tall.  I have firmly needle felted his core, then gave him a second fluff coat by needle felting tiny pieces  at a time.  I hope you enjoyed viewing him.

Can you believe we will be in November, here has this year gone?

Today it is raining here.  Not much, just a sprinkle, but I will be happy with whatever comes down... We did have a good rain last week.. Much needed.

I have not shared photos of my roses in such a long time, but nothing to share. This has been the worst year for them..  Spring till October they are at their best.  Not so this year.  This month I think there were maybe 5 or 6 blooms total, in all my rose bushes...  I know they will recover at one point, and when they do I would love to share more photos.

Happy Halloween everyone!
blessings,
Penny

Windsome woods Finger Puppets

Hello dear friends.

I realize that technology is  important, and children are now on computers at a very early age, cell phones and so many other gadgets.   With that said,  I would like to say that I feel a child's imagination  is just as important.  I believe children should be able to read a book by actually turning the pages,(  not on a device) going off to far places in their imaginations.  To run and  play outside in the fresh air, explore nature and all that it has to offer,  feel the texture of finger paints,  and listen to music.
So...  I know Lily is just a baby, but I have needle felted a few finger puppets for Brittany to entertain her with when  she is able to focus clearly on objects.  Her world is already full of music and stories at night, even though she is just a month old tomorrow.  Brittany has always been an avid reader and I know will fill her world with love, laughter,  words and music.

Wishing you all a beautiful week.
Blessings,
Penny

A walk down memory lane with Bebe and her Adventures

Hello dear friends,

For those of you that have been following me from the start, I am sure you remember Bebe's Adventures..  It all started in the summer of 2010 when I created a dear little mouse made of clay, named Bebe.  She has traveled the world, and has given me such joy.

For those of you who were not with us  on her adventures I would like to take you on a little journey.  And to all my dear friend who came along,  I hope you enjoy revisiting Bebe's Summer Adventures once again.

I hope to pick up my clay this summer and send her off once again...

It all started here... With the creation of Bebe .
