Bebe ~ Sweet Dreams ~ of summer adventures

Shhhhhhhhhhh...Bebe is dreaming of her upcoming adventures.. I hope you will come join us this summer, as she takes off yet again.. As you can see she has her passport ready at hand, and has already packed her carry on bag. By the time summer arrives, she should have her itinerary complete and will be ready to take flight.. What fun we are going to have!

Everything shown has been handmade by me with the exception of the little trinket box I found at a second hand store. Her little bed was constructed of cardboard and cheesecloth.. Then the details were added. Her carry on was made with card stock and a touch of dimensional paint. Been a while since I have crocheted, I did the best I could making her pillow and blanket.

~ Feathered Fantasy ~ A little whimsy painting and a lovely award

Imagine my delight this afternoon when I went to visit Judy ~Once We Were Faeries ~to thank her for her lovely thoughts about my painting. What a welcome that was! She had honored me with this beautiful award pictured above.... Thank you Judy! Please visit Judy and her exquisite fairies. They are pure magic.. She is a wonderful artist and a dear friend.. One evening, right before I lay my head down on the pillow, I was thinking about what to paint and the title Feathered Fantasy came to mind... The title inspired this painting.

Very soft in color, I chose three colors, light sage green, Payne's grey, and blue.. I have added a little dimensional paint and glitter for the crown and twigs. This particular painting was done on a board canvas.. 11x14" ... Unfortunately, I could not get any photos that show the true colors.. The photos are close, but not quite.. The background is more of a soft sage..

Please Meet ~ Maurice ~ Steppin' out

Maurice is Steppin' out.. Dressed in his Top Hat and bow tie, he is ready to dance tonight.

I had such fun with Maurice... Dickens of a time with his top hat, but he says it's fine...

I hope he has given you a smile...

He was sculpted with a mix of polymer clays, hand applied fur and heat set paints for details..
Stands 2 1/2" tall with out his hat.

Bebe's Valentine Ball

As soon as Bebe's checks her hat and purse she will glide out on the dance floor. I know her Valentine is out there somewhere... Please come along and enjoy the Valentine Ball.

Amazing what you can find in a bag of rose scented potpourri... A HAT for Bebe! I really enjoyed creating her.. She is sculpted in fimo, heat set oils for her dress and hand applied light tan fur.. I added a little sparkle the edge of her sculpted dress and on her shoes. Her little purse is hand made from felt with a little heart attached. She stands 2 1/4" tall.
