Please Meet ~ Maurice ~ Steppin' out

Maurice is Steppin' out.. Dressed in his Top Hat and bow tie, he is ready to dance tonight.
I had such fun with Maurice... Dickens of a time with his top hat, but he says it's fine...
I hope he has given you a smile...
He was sculpted with a mix of polymer clays, hand applied fur and heat set paints for details..
Stands 2 1/2" tall with out his hat.
Maurice is now available on ebay. If you would like to visit his auction, click his photo at top of sidebar. Wishing everyone a beautiful weekend..
Love and blessings

  5. That little top hat reminds me of this wonderful young gal that graced my shop yesterday. She had a vintage top hat on from her great grandfather and it actually collapsed down to flat. I'd never seen anything like it.
Now..Maurice...I once new a dashing man called Maurice. He played the accordian and danced...but not like your Maurice...on the tip of the wee mouse toes...
You did it again...created a sweet mouse being...love your work!

  14. Ahhh...I need a bit of elegance because I have been painting MYSELF and splattering Ruben's beautiful white walls with gray paint for the TV frame! Maurice, dahling, mon cher, DANSEZ AVEC MOI MON BRAVE....teeeheeee! The song M. Chevalier is singing is called, "IT HAPPENED ONE SUNDAY" and of course, he is talking about the lovely gal he met one Sunday and her striking beauty! THIS MAURICE is quite the lady mouse's man!!! RUBEN LOVED HIM SO MUCH! We had been out ALL DAY, I was not expecting that....but it was fun, for we got some drapes and rods and TODAY is the big event of hanging Ruben's 100lb flat screen TV. I always get nervous helping him lift that! I think I am calling our 6'4 neighbor over for that one! But on our way to the stores, we put on Steve Miller's old song, "Space Cowboy" where he says, "Some people call me MAURICE..."we just cracked up because we both love little pointy-toed Maurice. Well dear one, I slept in 'til 5:00 and it is 5:30 and HE is up..meaning I won't be getting my blog post up until maybe late tonight or even tomorrow!!!! It gives me one more day to try to take decent pictures....I will be in and out today!!! BISES, Anita

  21. After waiting for Days, Bebe was presented to the Lacefield children this evening after a special Valentine's dinner. To say she took our breath away is an understatement, Penny. Truly, you outdid yourself dressing her!! The gown feels and looks soft to the touch, and the folds make it appear to be flowing in the air. The skirt's delicate border of glitter shimmers in the lamplight. I finally had to settle her back into her red tin for safety's sake (and to settle everyone down!!). All the flockling wanted me to tell you THANK YOU and how much you put a big sparkle into our Valentine celebration.
She truly is a moussie masterpeice, and we absolutely LOVE her! Thank you...thank you...
your devoted friends, Rose, Gary and flockling

And I left a BIG BOWL of purple grapes for you dearest, for I saw that you DID come over to take another peak at the rooms!!!! Teeeheee! Oh, how I dream of you being here and seeing our rooms. I hope you had a quiet and lovely evening last night dearest; we had a couch picnic and I just drifted away....much love to you on this fine day my dear, dear friend, Anita
