Tea anyone? Please meet Coco

After all that tea, one needs a little nap.

Ahhhh... That's better.. shhhhhhhhh

It has been a while since I have picked up my clay, so I thought I would sculpt a wee mouse... Coco measures 2 inches... Her fur is wool that has been hand applied tiny pieces at a time. Heat set paints were used for her details.

You will find her in my Etsy shop.

Hope she has given you a smile.. Wishing all of you a wonderful day.

Blessings,

Penny

WIP and completion of ~Willow~ Lovebird

Last week I started needle felting Willow, my little love bird..

I just love all the colors of this wool.. She is now complete. Well almost..

Willow needs something to perch on..

Yesterday I was at my favorite little thrift shop in town and found this old candle holder.. A little cleaning and it was ready... I wanted to have something to set Willow on.. My first thought was a birdhouse, but when I saw this candle holder, bird bath came to mind... So, with a little paint, cardboard, thick medium, rose scented pods, faux flowers I created a little bird bath for her.. Below is my completed set.. I hope you enjoy...

Please meet Tweety bird and baby chick

This is Tweety bird... Dear Anita, of Castles Crowns and Cottages, purchased her.. Please stop in and say hello to Anita and bask in the beauty you will find there... Thank you so much my dear friend! If the wind is strong she should arrive by tomorrow...
Below tweety is my newest little chick, now available on Ebay.
I am so thrilled with new wool that has arrived.. Hand dyed merino and Falkland wool, the most beautiful colors, so I am in bird heaven here.. I intend to make birdies in all the colors of the rainbow, and I am also working on a GOOSE... Well, lets say I am trying my hand at making a goose... we shall see. I am using the wool received from dear Jeri, courtesy of Beatrix the sheep.. This is also the wool I created baby chick with (photos below tweety bluebird) It is, without a doubt, the nicest wool to work with... Please stop in at Hopalong Hollow and see the PICKETS that Jeri has made... This woman baffles the mind... I often wonder if there is anything she ~cannot ~do... I think not...
Wishing you all a beautiful weekend...
Love and blessings,
Penny
