Sketch two... Do you think they could be related?

I don't know.... I think I like the previous sketch better,  ( post below) but this was fun..  Unlike the other one, she has amber brown eyes... I was trying to keep a Victorian look about her but not sure if I accomplished that...

I have picked up my needle felting again and hope to share soon...
Would someone send some cool air?   We are in the teens here..   Needless to say I will not be in the garden.
Wishing you all a beautiful weekend..
Thank you so much for visiting.
love and blessings,
Penny.

Hello again... So nice to be back

It has only been two weeks, but seems like forever..  I took a break with the hope I would be able to start a few projects in the garden.. But instead, came down with a nasty flu and cold...  Although I am feeling much better than I did, I still look like something the cat brought in...  My get up and go just got up and went.
I don't really have much to share, as I have not felt like doing much, but did read my two antique children's books which I really enjoyed...
A few days ago I picked up my prismacolor pencils and attempted to sketch... Yes, as you can see, this is only an attempt.. The colors in her hair.... what was I thinking, see the RED lines?  I finally took THAT pencil and put it aside so I would not pick it up.   I will start over and try once again..  I could pick this entire sketch apart, but I think it shows a state of mind,  and also, that there are many times  one can sit down and expect one result and end up with.......well,  this!  I don't know, maybe she looks like I felt?

I am looking forward to visiting all of you, I am sure I have missed so many beautiful posts.. I would like to thank you for visiting while I was away from the computer... It was so nice to read all of your kind and thoughtful comments.
Love and blessings,
Penny

Bebe and I are taking a little blog break... See you soon

I will be off the computer for a bit..  Thought I would leave you with photos of  two Children's books that I picked up at an antique store in Temecula on my last visit there.   They are delightful books about a goat named Billy Whiskers.
I am curious if any of you are familiar with this series...  I could only afford two, there are many more, so as I am able I would like to collect more.  Published in 1909
First up is Billy Whiskers Kids

 Back cover

Next is Billy Whiskers  Grandchildren
Same author, but this book was illustrated by Hugo Von Hofsten

Back cover, don't you just love this illustration?

I would like to thank all my dear friends, old and new, for always being so kind  with words you leave me here.  I truly enjoy and appreciate your visits, and also visiting your part of the world..
See you soon,
Love and blessings,
Penny
