I don't know.... I think I like the previous sketch better, ( post below) but this was fun.. Unlike the other one, she has amber brown eyes... I was trying to keep a Victorian look about her but not sure if I accomplished that...
I have picked up my needle felting again and hope to share soon...
Would someone send some cool air? We are in the teens here.. Needless to say I will not be in the garden.
Wishing you all a beautiful weekend..
Thank you so much for visiting.
love and blessings,
Penny.
Hope you're feeling better and yes I am feeling your pain about the heat. It is hot, hot, hot and it's the beginning of our summer.
ReplyDeleteLovely sketches, a beautiful face so full of interest.
Can't wait to see your felting. Enjoy kathy
Wowww those eyes are wonderful....beautiful done !!......love Ria...x !
ReplyDeleteShe is a beauty, and stay cool my friend.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes...the two girls could definitely be related. I have two sisters and we all have different eye colors. Mine are brown, my sister in the middle has blue eyes, and my youngest sister has the most awesome grey/green eyes with darker grey at the center. Amazing.
ReplyDeleteOh, I have found some youtube videos that are fun to watch with the Inktense and Prisma colored pencils. I just type in those pencil names and up comes the list of videos.
Triple digits here too!
PRECIOUS ONE! You're at it again, and I love BOTH OF THEM! You must continue this style and line of sweet little girls who should be garden fairies! I love her eyes and her lips my dear! My goodness, I wish we could send you a cool breeze Penny....you are so good to keep up with your drawing. Really, keep drawing more of these sweet summer girls, garden fairies, for they are truly enchanting. Have a marvelous Sunday and just keep doing what you do: making us SMILE with your STYLE! Anita
ReplyDeletehello,
ReplyDeleteboth this one and the one below are so charming and look related, sisters? so beautiful.
Another lovely one!!! Dear Penny...you are able to capture this classic, yet ethereal beauty...
ReplyDeleteThey are sisters indeed! :)
I can't believe you're in the triple digits....please stay well and cool....sending northern breezes your way! I hope you are feeling like yourself again, and more belated birthday wishes and blessings to you....
Thank you for you, beautiful friend!
Bisous,

Oh, Penny dear, I go by whatever anyone wants to call me...Teresa, Theresa, Teressa, Tess, Terri, Terry, Terisita, Trese, Resa! I'm not particular, it's all basically the same name no matter how it is spelled.
ReplyDeleteI adore your doggies by the way...they are so precious!
This is a lovely drawing and yes, it has the feeling of a Victorian scrap with the softness and the huge eyes. What the other drawing has is action and character. It's not that either one is better; each drawing has a different narrative and a different relationship to the viewer. They're both beautiful and personal and it's lovely to see you drawing for the sheer pleasure it brings.
ReplyDeleteI just packed a big amount of our cool weather in a large airplane to send this to you, dear Penny, because here it is much too cool for summer with lots of days filled with rain :D! So I have been very generous with filling that particular plane for you :D!
ReplyDeleteYour drawings are so beautiful and precious, Penny, thank you for sharing!
Have a nice sunday. Blessings and hugs (cool hugs ;)), Ilona
Good morning precious Penny! Thank YOU for coming to my OLD post that I must change briefly to just let people know I'm still around.....oh Penny, my laryngitis is horrible. I am really sick and I'm supposed to go to L.A. in just three days!
ReplyDeleteI love how you capture the complexion of this child. Her skin is so beautifully colored and in contrast with those lips. Keep on drawing dear one; you are a blessing to us all!
Hello pretty little Victorian girl! Such sweet lips you have, and a lovely gaze....AND YOU SAW CHESTER! Oh I had to, I just had to include him and YOU on my list of people whose art makes my day.
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm sitting here trying to draft a poem but the good news is, even if it's HORRIBLE, is that I have a whole week to work on it. And it's about my family who I will see in the next few days. Maybe I can glean some inspiration to get this poem up to snuff!
Hoping you are having a wonderful day dear friend. Thank you for visiting. Anita
Penny, her eyes are perfect! You know what, she looks like one of my antique dolls from the 1890's. So I guess you would say that is Victorian. What a sweet rosebud mouth!
ReplyDeletehi penny! she is beautiful and i do indeed think she looks rather victorian. i had a doll growing up that had big brown eyes like hers, i have not thought of that doll in a long time. thanks for the memory, dear.
ReplyDeleteerin

p.s. oh my gosh i just read jeri landers comment and see that your drawing reminds her of a doll too! what a coincidence.
So lovely to see your message, dear Penny....are you staying cool?
ReplyDeleteSending refreshing North Shore breezes to you, beautiful friend!
Love and blessings,
- Irina

ReplyDeleteDear Penny,
ReplyDeleteShe is so beautiful and love her sweet face, with the brown eyes and the pretty rosebud lips.
She looks like a Victorian doll.
Do hope that you manage to stay cool and wish I could send over a gentle breeze from here.
Have a lovely week, dear friend

Hope you're feeling better after being down for awhile with the flu. Can't wait to see the new felting!
ReplyDeleteLovely drawing of this beautiful girl. I really admire your talent. Oh I love BeBe your little felted mouse. Thank you for visiting and leaving me a wonderful comment. I think I shall try needle felting again as I really like the little artful things I have seen. The bandage tip is brilliant. Creative Hearts are Happy Hearts...
ReplyDeleteThis is charming, Penny. And very sweet. And, thanks SO much for your kind comments on The Marmelade Gypsy!
ReplyDeleteShe is lovely as can be! I love your faces Penny! So sublime...I get lost in their beautiful expressions! xoxoox ;-)
