Hello dear friends.. I hope you are enjoying the holidays... Because I have injured my wrist ( too much needle felting) it looks like it may be a while before I can create so I thought I would share a few gifts of love from the past.
It is the 19th and my wrist is just fine now.. Thank you all so much for your well wishes.
My father built this ship above about 40 years ago.. When I look at it I have such fond memories of my dad in the evenings at the table always creating something. He also made a ship in the bottle.. I wish I knew what happened to that, it was so beautiful.
My chair that is also a step stool when lifted up and over... Unfortunately I cannot show you how it turns over because it has a crack and I don't want to lift it...
My beloved gave this to me for Christmas 15 years ago... Noah's ark hand carved and painted.. We were shopping one afternoon and I mentioned how beautiful it was..
Christmas morning it was under the tree.. I will treasure it always.. I know when I think of him as I admire it he is looking down and smiling at me.
The book behind the doll was a gift to me from my dear Mother...
The title is Thank you for so many things..
My mom had a heart of gold and here she was thanking me... She was a wife, mother, poet at heart, and taught me how to get through all of life's little challenges with grace..
This pretty little Christmas doll was gifted to my grand daughter from my daughter about 20 years ago.. They both wanted her to stay with Nana (me) so every year when my children arrive there she is, safe and sound.
My Santa from my dear brother and his lovely wife.. It seemed like every time they would return from Europe they would bring a gift for me.. this one in particular is very special to me.. Can you guess why? teee ~ The artist ~ he is from Germany..
Beautiful hand painted plate from Denmark. Don't you just love these tiny gnomes?
My grandfathers prayer book.. The pages are so old I hesitate to handle it.
The metal angel belonged to my mother in law. Time worn and beautiful, don't you think? These are just a few of my treasured gifts. I hope you enjoyed viewing.
Last ... A few elves I have made over the years... I had every intention of making one each... Well, that did not happen, but I think I will start to add more next year.
Zoe had to have the last word...
Jasper, Zoe, Bebe and I would like to wish you a blessed Christmas.. Thank you so much for taking time to visit and bless you for bringing so much joy into my life this past year.. Your friendship, inspiration and encouragement have brought happiness into my life.. We all have our creations that ~come alive somehow~ and I have been touched by so many of yours. I count my blessing each day..
I hope you can take time to listen to the song by Sarah Brightman..
On my side bar at the top.. Just click the arrow... ( Thank you for your help dear Irina)
When I first heard her sing many years ago, her voice touched me deeply... It is, to me, a voice of an angel.. I hope you enjoy ~A child is born~
Love and blessings,
Penny
