Jesus on the Cross ~bas relief~

...... Crucifixion...... bas relief for my private collection.

This piece has been on my table for some time..  While working on this piece and Holy week approaching, emotions flooded my heart.  For It is with  darkness that  we  see light.  Sorrow gives us hope, hope give us faith, and faith is love.

A gentle little Owl named ~ Méa ~

About a week ago,  Méa   of  Méas Vintage told me she had a dream that we were sitting having tea. Perched upon my shoulder was a  little owl..  I was so surprised because I was thinking of  Needle Felting an owl that same day.   I shall name her Méa..

She was lovingly Needle felted in Maori wool, and stands 8 inches tall. Her claws are wire wrapped with brown twine.    She stands very nicely on her own.  She is available on Ebay.   I hope she has given you a smile.  Wishing you all a beautiful week ahead.  Thank you all for your kind comments about my little tree..

Kwanzan Flowering Cherry Tree.

First, my apologies for sending this post to Nowhere, dear Dutchess.
I was so excited about the buds on my tree I did not even notice I clicked the wrong button.
I have taken it off...  What a ditz I am today..
. After all,  Tea Rat would probably try to climb the tree, then Rattus would have to climb up after.. Besides,  Bebe told me she wants to travel soon to Nowhere..

So here it is! I walked out today, and they finally started to open!

This is how the tree looked last month when I brought it home and set it in the carport while digging the hole.

With the help of sis,  we dug a hole.

Standing tall and proud, even though it is such a tiny tree.

My neighbors probably thought I was nuts... I kept checking the tree to see if the buds were open yet yesterday.

Out the door, in the door, out the door, in the door...
My roses are starting to bloom.. Won't be long,  they are full of buds.

Happy spring everyone!

Please meet Juliet

I would like to introduce you to Juliet. Loving needle felted,  she is 3 1/2" of beautiful Mario wool.. Her little feet were created with covered wire .
This pretty little ceramic trinket egg is the perfect place for her to perch for the Easter season.
I found this at my favorite thrift shop in town..  She is available on ebay.

Her crown was handmade with glass beads and faux berries and is removable

Thank you so much for visiting...
Wishing you all a beautiful week.

Projects in the home and garden

Hello dear friends.   I thought I would share some of my projects, inside and out.

Late January I planted some stocks.

They have really grown,  no?... this photo below was taken yesterday... sorry about the fuzzy photo.
It was taken with the screen closed.. I did not want to scare of  Mr. Bun by opening the door.
I asked him to look but not touch my stocks.. So far so good...

A little view from my front room window.

Another project below... See this door below?   My home has a built in cabinet with doors . They  had chicken wire attached, and I believe they were also hand made by the previous owner.. I grew  tired of the doors and really wanted a more simple line and glass... So off came the doors,
 (one shown below)

Before I go any further I would like to say,  I am no carpenter.. Although I love working with wood.
For the money I spent on wood that I cut the wrong measurements I probably could have hired someone to do it... But I was determined...
Yes my beloved always told me,  measure twice,  cut once...  I am sure he was looking down at me having a good old time, and shaking his head.   I have a nice stack of extra wood now in the event I get an itch to make something else..

So, with that in mind,  here we go.

Just me and my tools. I realize they are not perfect, but I have found over the years that nothing, and I mean nothing is ever level in the house..

I even put the glass in myself.. I asked at the hardware store if they would put it in for me when I purchased the glass...  I got a smile with a  ~no~ .  So I purchase the necessary hardware and did it myself.

I  sculpted some roses and leaves made of paper clay and affixed to the top corners.

I just had to snap this photo of Zoe... Jasper was out in the kitchen kicking his bowl for breakfast and she just did not want to get up...  I do believe Zoe is an old soul.  She has never acted like a puppy. She does play, but in bursts!

Oh,  did I tell you I finally finished putting the fence up?  Good gosh, I thought I would never get done.

Here is my old boy Jasper... Squinting .  He loves to lay out and soak up the warm sun.
As you can see, he has plenty of soft grass to sit on but prefers the warm cement.

Well, I guess that's it for now...
Thank you all for taking tine to wander over for a visit..
Wishing you all a beautiful week ahead.
