A gentle little Owl named ~ Méa ~

About a week ago,  Méa   of  Méas Vintage told me she had a dream that we were sitting having tea. Perched upon my shoulder was a  little owl..  I was so surprised because I was thinking of  Needle Felting an owl that same day.   I shall name her Méa..

She was lovingly Needle felted in Maori wool, and stands 8 inches tall. Her claws are wire wrapped with brown twine.    She stands very nicely on her own.  She is available on Ebay.   I hope she has given you a smile.  Wishing you all a beautiful week ahead.  Thank you all for your kind comments about my little tree..

  4. Ohhh Penny, this Owl is sooo beautiful! I love it, this petite sweet dreamy being.
I wished, I would live in the US just for this to take her home. She makes one feel cosy, her mimik sooooo dear... Creates the most tender feelings and the wish to pet her... This sweet and delicate made spout, these wings and "hairstyle"... You are a true artist, Penny
I have printed out this post... and hug you in my mind, your friend Méa

  6. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! Or rather, WHO WHO WHO?

The colors, the coloring of her claws, you CAPTURED HER! Penny, she is very special with her wise look and perfect coloring....Little Méa the Wise Owl is a very special work - how connected we all are and the dream that sweet Méa way out across "the pond" inspired this....but you already had the thought. I tell ya, how things work between souls is beyond our own understanding. Beautiful job my friend, as always. I must run off to work, but will be back many times to enjoy this magical connection with you two...

  16. Yes, Mea certainly did bring a smile to my face today, Penny, because I am thinking of Nel lately. She will get her Ph.D. in May, and it's been a loooong haul for her. Owls always remind me of knowledge, and can you imagine all the knowledge Nel has acquired all these years of schooling? I am sentimental when I see Mea, and I think she's just wonderful. How special that your friend had a dream about you the same day you were thinking of making her. :~)

  18. How clever to wrap her feet in twine, I've been trying to figure out different methods of making bird feet and twine looks really good and natural for Mea, owl gal. Sweet and precious as always, Penny.

  22. Penny,
Seriously in love with Méa owl. Thank you for your visit, I always appreciate your sweet comments, matter of fact they mean the world to me. I also am Catholic but while doing research realized and decided to add Passover into my post. I even though continue to be committed to my religion seem to have embarked on a spiritual journey into a deeper understanding and appreciation of faith based religions rooted in love.
    I wish you spring blessings.
