Hello, my name is Darby... 

Darby has been lovingly needle felted with Merino wool.  On this particular piece I handsculpted his eyes and beak using Cernit... His little feet are wire that I wrapped with embroidery thread...  I hope you find Darby pleasing to the eye.  I am really enjoying my needle felting..

Bebe has been hand sculpted of fimo and is a mere 2 3/4" tall..  Her clothes are also sculpted.. Merino wool was used for her fur..  Her hat and bag are made of felt.. I made her a map as I thought it would come in handy.

Welcome dear friends.. I had such fun creating this adventure for Bebe.  She stands

 2 3/4" tall.  Total height of tulip hot air balloon is 7 1/2" tall.  Bebe is sculpted of Fimo, her fur is merino wool.. Dress is sculpted with handpainted details...  Her little hat was made with felt and lace.. Her suitcase is made of printed cardstock.. Her hot air balloon is made of wood, paper, faux tulip wire and rose petals from my garden that have been sealed.  If you would like to visit her auction  just click  here.

Roses in the moonlight

This evening I walked out onto the porch and this is what I saw.. Is this moon beautiful?

These are my iceberg climbing roses..

In front down below them are my english roses which are not visible here.



These are the roses I planted for my beloved.. He had helped me pick them out from the David Austin catalog.. I planted them on what would have been his birthday a month after he passed in 2009.


They are climbing to the heavens. I know he is tending them along with me and sending his love along with every petal that falls.

Paris Dreams
