Hello, my name is Darby...
Darby has been lovingly needle felted with Merino wool. On this particular piece I handsculpted his eyes and beak using Cernit... His little feet are wire that I wrapped with embroidery thread... I hope you find Darby pleasing to the eye. I am really enjoying my needle felting..
He is available on Ebay
Wishing you all a beautiful week..
Love and blessings,
Penny

ReplyDeletePenny, YOU bring tears to my eyes as I see the handiwork of your spirit take flight EACH and EVERY TIME you post. What fun you are to have within an email's reach, a blog post's enchanting power and a phone call away.
HE IS JUST WONDERFUL and how you do this, I DON'T KNOW!!!!!!!!! BRAVOOOOOO!!!! Anita
Oh Penny,
ReplyDeleteYOU ARE THE BEST. And I know that GOD THE CREATOR is pleased with the work of your hands for it is woven with the unbreakable thread of love. ALWAYS SO INSPIRING....Anita
Dear Penny, Darby is so very precious. You know I have 2 amazon parrots and one of them, kiwi, has my heart. He is yelling the children's name at this moment and I am afraid he is copying "me"! "blushing"
ReplyDeleteDarby will make a terrific pet as I am sure he won't behave like my kiwi!
Love,
Pat
Thank you friend for the Rose information, I am going to look the "Pierre de Ronsard" online and order for the fall.
ReplyDeleteYour birdie reminds me of the PINK one Anita had on her post this week, sweet!
That little parrot is so lifelike...I had to stop and examine hahahaha. Very well done. I haven't been back, since you joined me, I could not find you.. the link on the member page was not there. I'll email you. Mary
ReplyDeleteDear Dore
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your most welcome visit. I always look forward to seeing you here.
I just love painted rose... Your work warms my soul.
Dearest Anita,
You sweetheart you! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.. I cannot tell you how much I loved your post today... What a wonderful ~thank you~ to your dear Ruben..
Hello dear Pat
Thank you so much for wandering over to see me and your kind thoughts.
You have TWO parrots? Kiwi is such a sweet name.. I'll bet there is alot of chattering going on yes?
Good to have you back home, although I wish I could have gone with you to Paris. teee
Hi Jeri
Oh good, I think if that rose is good in your zone you will love it...
Funny that you mentioned this parrot reminded you of the pink one on Anita's last post... Actually when I saw that beautiful pink parrot I was so inspired I had to paint it... Only mine was purple... Then I wanted to create a needle felted parrot.
I just love the pergola your husband built for you... What a gem you have...
Wishing you a wonderful weekend
fondly,
Penny
Hi Mary
I think it was a glitch with blogger... I have had the same problems with my list on the dashboard.. One day people are there, the next they are gone... All seems ok now..
Thank you so much for your kind words.
Blessings to all,
Penny

Darby is adorable! I love his color and you can see that sparkle in his eyes. He's going to have some amazing adventures for sure!
ReplyDeleteI am starting to put two and two together now and understand how you and the delightful Bebe from Nowhere are connected. I just found my way to Nowhere recently and am learning who is who there. lol

Dear Ria
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to see you here... How are you? I love to visit your beautiful part of the world.
Thank you so much dear friend for your kind words.
Hi Lisa
How nice to see you here! Don't you just love the music? It makes me happy... Thank you so much for your kind words... I do enjoy my needle felting.. Well, just as long as I do not poke myself! The needles have barbs at the tip, so when you poke away it mends the wool together.. Very time consuming but very relaxing..
Yes, Bebe started here and has been going to Nowhere for a few years now... I love our time in Nowhere with all our dear friends. I am so happy you are visiting there.
Hi Paulette
I know your roses will be beautiful... Just tender loving care and the joy you receive is well worth it.
I am so happy you enjoyed my watercolor illustrations and thank you for your kind words about my parrot.
Greeting Ascension

Good morning my beautiful PLUMMED FRIEND!!! I was thinking about you just as I woke up, little Darby! teeeheeee
ReplyDeleteI am sitting here early in the morning, enjoying my visit here. The furniture in my front room is a bit out of order due to painting my studio! SO this arrangement has moved my usual typing spot right next to my curio cabinet where none other than my sweet memories of all you art work sit close to me at this moment. Toby, BEBE and TEA RAT, AMÉLIE, LILI and ALL the others are sitting right here reminding me of YOU.
I will be back in email you all!!! LOVE! Anita

Ohhhh.....we do NOT want Tea Rat to teach Darby how to talk, or else you will have a parrot on your hands that will have, let's say, COLORFUL language. teeheee.....Tea Rat is always on the look out for a new friend, especially if he can talk!!! LOVE YOU DEAREST! Anita
