Penny,
ReplyDeleteThis is such a unique Paris post. I love the precious Bebe and her little poodle. I've always wondered what it would be like to go on a hot air balloon. How creative of you to think of that on this fun Paris Link Party. I am off to visit a few more lovelies, but I did, indeed, have to stop by yours and say hello. There is such a sweetness about this post - it is hard to descibe with words.
~Sheri at Red Rose Alley
The hot air balloon is such a clever idea and Bebe's outfit is tres stylish!
ReplyDeleteI AM FINALLY, after a longer day than expected AT SCHOOL...HERE!
ReplyDeleteI could not WAIT to get over here to see this little MADEMOISELLE and to see what she was going to wear. BUT IN ADDITION, she is READY TO SOAR TO GREATER HEIGHTS! Holy cow my dear, when does the cuteness stop??? NEVER!
Tea Rat and Rattus are jealous! Actually TEA RAT is insane about hot air balloons...you remember???? teeeheee...but he trusts that Bebe is far more equipped than he was and will sail safely and securely over the Parisian scenery! Just make sure you don't get too close to the tip of the Eiffel tower!!!
Penny, she is absolutely ADORABLE and you have been working so hard to make this a special even for ME. I am going to savor all of these posts all weekend long and I will be back AGAIN AND AGAIN!! LOVE YOU! Anita

Hi Penny,
ReplyDeleteTo answer your question, the painting on my blog is done in acrylics. I usually work in oils (water soluble ones) or watercolor, but once in a while I use acrylic...
It is fun to come back anbd see BeBe...
~ Violet
This is adorable. How happy she looks in her balloon! Bon voyage!
ReplyDeleteOh dear, oh dear! I am too late to climb aboard the balloon with you dear Bebe... and now I see you sailing above the clouds without me! Promise me you will pick up some Chocolates and Brie for us to share at our next reunion? The Mistress had me outside all day picking weeds! With love, Dimity Doormouse
ReplyDeleteThis is so sweet! It makes me think of the first hot air balloon flight by the Montgolfier Bro's in Versailles...

UP UP AND AWAY and we are still sailing strong.
ReplyDeleteOh Penny, Bebe is the princess of the skies... she is enchanting everyone and JOLI???? What better companion to have than a FRENCH POODLE...OOOH! She is like Sir Jasperlot!!!
If I had a poodle, I would have the larger one, the standard. I would name him CLAUDE, after Claude Debussy, my favorite French composer!
OK BEBE....you are doing great. You have MUCH better navigation skills than a certain RAT I know.....sail high with the RED balloon my sweet.....
Oh Penny, Joli, and Bebe,
ReplyDeleteIt was a pleasure and joy seeing you arrive so beautifully in a balloon of magic hot air slowly landing on the greens of anitas lawn its a beautiful piece of magic you have created Penny for your travels to Paris, I have only one regret...That it was not I who created this French balloon!
Thank you Penny it means alot to me that you would find favor in my French post and honoring the party giver Anita.
I will be back to see your magic soon, I am off to organize a friends closet here in France in the French way.
xoxo

PENNY!! Ahhh...the sound of the accordian, the elegant BEBE and JOLI gliding over sunny Paris. Dearest this is such fun and the afterglow is just as enchanting indeed, as the first day it started. What I love the most is the electrifying connection we all make when we share each others' hearts. Bebe has enchanted many, and I see here that DEAR BONNIE CAME! You are not going to believe this, but I was just downstairs in my basement creating a Marie Antoinette dress form and BONNIE CAME TO MIND! I see her here and I must run over there....
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the party and a day of creating MAGIC! I am making more shoes and listening to all the French music as I possibly can!
LOVE YOU and MILLE MERCIS! Anita

Good morning.....just coming to see where Bebe and her incredible balloon are heading...oh...I see her over Sacré Coeur, heading towards Montemartre.....she will find the most DELICIOUS CRÊPES there smattered in Nutella...where Ruben had his first.
ReplyDeleteAhhhhhh.....this music is soaring to the heights of Parisian beauty!!! Anita
This is so sweet and charming. Wonderful feel good post!
ReplyDeleteMaurice and Bebe are so cute. I want to travel to Paris and want to look when Bebe arrive in this cute balloon and I want to meet Maurice. But it is to far for today ;( I'm so sorry.

Bebe and her poodles are enchanting! So glad you visited my Paris trip, so that I could discover yours in return...
ReplyDeleteSo, so cute! I shall have to show my class. Fiona
ReplyDeleteAhhhhh....BEBE HAS LANDED. I see she is doing some POWER SHOPPING on Le Champs Elysée! Bebe is a stylish mouse! Then for lunch, she has a date. She has a date at LADURÉE TEA SALON with none other than............
ReplyDeleteTEA RAT, her big brotha. He could not resist. He jumped on a red eye flight and has finally landed in Paris. He is staying in the Latin Quarter to economize but will be at Ladurée at 1:00. See you there, Bebe!!!! AND they are dog-friendly, so Joli is most welcomed!
teeeheee...
Hi Penny,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind and gracious comments!
Your work is so gorgeous. Bebe is darling, and that POODLE!!!! Fantastic! And your paintings are lovely. You and I have different styles but that does not mean you have any less abilities, they are just different!!! And let me tell you, I fought with that acrylic painting much longer than I intended. I had the idea for it when my daughter asked me if I would donate a print for her churches womens retreat, the theme was "Standing on God's Promises" and so I thought, why not stand on them wearing sparkly shoes?!? It took me way too long to get that little doggie as I envisioned.
I really think you should try the water-soluble oils. No fumes, no turpentine, water clean up. I have the "Max" brand, but Daniel Smith has recently come out with their own line. It had been so long since I used the regular oils, that I didn't have a comparison.
For over 20 years watercolor was my main medium, but I love the effects that can be achieved with oils. When I want faster drying time I add some quick-dry alkyd. And I love to use a smooth board.
Before we moved I was creating some items with sculpey and paper clay. But my creations in sculpting mediums do not compare with the beautiful details you achieve.
I remember when Anita and Ruben traveled to California a couple of years ago and she shared a photo of your meeting. How delighted she was to spend time with you!!!!
Hugs and Blessings,
Violet
Bonjour! Tres merci, mon ami! Bon, c'est vrie.
ReplyDeletePenny, I just had to come over and read all of your comments...Little Bebe is so sweet standing there with her poodle. Your art amazes me to no end. Anita's Paris party has been so much fun, I wish it could go on forever...
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week...I see Bebe has sold on eBay...congratulations!!
XOXO
Dessa Rae
PENNY!!!!!!! I see my dear Violet was here....is she NOT A PHENOMENAL ARTIST????? Oh how fun this has been to connect with one another, hasn't it been? I really feel as if I was at a party with chandeliers dripping with sparkles, pink champagne in hand and chatter and laughter and inspiration all around. Little Bebe must be exhausted for TEA RAT has been asking her to take him all around town. Last I heard, he underestimated the distance from the Eiffel tower to his hotel in the Latin Quarter; they are still walking since 2 hours ago! But they have a baguette under each arm so they will not tire.
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU FOR COMING BY AGAIN...this is so much fun, still..Anita
Looks like he she is goin to a far away fairie dream kinda place. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteCute mouse.. cute mouse for Paris and anywhere. Merci. Mary
