Bebe's adventures in Africa

Lions

    and Tigers

                                                  and BIRDS,  OH MY!

I have my map, my carry bag and I am ready for a safari... Won't you join me?
Mum said... Watch out for the tigers...

Bebe has been hand sculpted of fimo and is a mere 2 3/4" tall..  Her clothes are also sculpted.. Merino wool was used for her fur..  Her hat and bag are made of felt.. I made her a map as I thought it would come in handy.
I hope you have enjoyed viewing.. If you would like to visit her Ebay auction you will find her here

I hope you have enjoyed traveling along with Bebe on her African Safari.  Thank you so much for viewing.
Love and blessings,
Penny & Bebe

  1. OK, I need to explain the whole moment.

I have been cleaning and rearranging all day with Ruben. Fine. He is gone for the afternoon so I said, "I AM DONE CLEANING..I AM GOING TO MY BLOG."

I saw your comment. I had the volume on my blog full blast to listen to some music.

I come here, I see your header and BAMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!! I JUMPED IN MY SEAT! THE MUSIC GOT ME JUST RIGHT AND I LAUGHED SOOOOOOOO HARD. I WAS DELIGHTFULLY TRANSPORTED TO A PLACE I NEVER EXPECTED, AND here she is, our brave and adventurous little mouse, that knows NO LIMITS, on land, sea or air!!! Oh my goodness, Penny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOOK AT HER LITTLE MAP!!!!!!! SHE IS TOO TOO CUTE....When Ruben comes home and settles in, I am not going to tell him what it is about, but I will have him put the volume up and just wait a tad before he scrolls....the effect is FABULOUS!

YOUR SKETCHES!!!!!! LIONS AND TIGERS AND BIRDS, OH MY! But Bebe is FEARLESS and I just adore YOU. You really outdid yourself....I can just see you giggling and plotting and planning....that's my girl....

Ahhhh.....this is so darn fun. Thank heavens for blogging. We would not know each other dearest....

Thank you so much dear friend.

    Dear Dimity,
Livingston I presume? No, I have not seen him… I will keep my eyes open… Oh not to worry, I am staying close to camp… I have a little hut made under a big tree… I will be safe… I was going to ask you to come along, and then I thought maybe the Mistress of the Manor would not be pleased about you wandering the jungle… Now, you know what mum did? She accidentally DELEATED your lovely comment… Don’t ask me how she managed that but she did… I am so sorry!
    Love,
    Bebe
p.s. Mum says thank you so much!

    Love and blessings to all

  7. Rattus: Tea Rat old friend, did you hear that Bebe is going on safari. I want to go, I want to go, I want to go.

Tea Rat: Great, but you'll need to learn a few important phrases in Swahili.

Rattus: Excellent notion. How do you say "I love you, Bebe" in Swahili?

Tea Rat: Uh. Oh yes. "Choo kiko wapi, Bebe?"

    A FEW HOURS LATER:

Rattus: Tea Rat, I'm going to cripple you.

Tea Rat: Why? What went wrong?

Rattus: "Choo kiko wapi, Bebe?" means "Where's the toilet, Bebe?"

Tea Rat: Oops. Look, you'll thank me later. I swear.

  8. Rattus! You CRACK ME UP!!! Now I have a tummy ache from laughing...
ok.. let me find a translator for you.
You best pack some high stepin boots for you and Tea Rat if you are coming on the safari with me...

  13. My dear Bebe,
I apologize profusely if was in any way inappropriate with you yesterday. I had intended to convey my warmest regard, affection and esteem for you, and at the same time impress you with my ability to speak a phrase or two in Swahili (which of course will come in handy for the safari). But I'm afraid my language coach, Tea Rat, knows about as much Swahili as will fit on the head of a pin.

I normally DO NOT give the fairer sex a bouquet of flowers, a box of chocolates, and then get on one knee and ask, "Where is the toilet?"

It was all a mistake. You see, I had wanted Tea Rat to teach me how to say an endearing phrase in Swahili, and instead he taught "Where is the toilet."

He swears it was an honest mistake, because, sure, who wouldn't confuse "I love you" with "Where's the toilet?"

Again, I humbly apologize and resolve never to make such a mistake again.

    Sincerely yours,
    Rattus Scribus

P.S., Tea Rat would send a few words of greeting but I currently have him bound and gagged.

Lions and tigers and bears Oh My. Bebe looks fabulous, oh I love his little safari outfit, his precious little face and look at that hat. Even a map to help us get about the countryside. Penny dear girl, you don't miss a detail, NOT one. I so enjoy seeing your work. He is priceless. Absolutely priceless.

Sorry I have not been out and about of late. I am on a time crunch with a project at work and have spent about 3 months on it now. It has to be ready for review this week, I think I am going to make it. Then I will have to go through the next few months, actually building it. ALOT of work let me tell you. ALOT of work. I have found myself exhausted.
Hope to be back to blogging soon, I have so missed you my friend.

Stay cool out there. There is no relief in site here in the valley. We have hot, Hot, and HOT. Take your pick. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

  28. Your sweet Bebe has been having some incredible adventures!! I have been away too long! She was absolutely stunning at the Paris party...and her pet poodle!! Oh my heart is all aflutter!!
Our little books and cards and kits are on amazon.com now, dear friend!! We have been so incredibly immersed in working with our new assistant to get all the details of this new business ironed out and running smoothly. I had no idea there were so many details. Our dear Jeri, has been invaluable in giving us advice. We enjoyed a brief visit this spring and we are planning a mid summer visit, to glean even more of her wisdom and enjoy each others kindred spirits.
Thank you so much, my dear friend, for checking in on me. You have such a caring way about you and I will never forget your diligent care as we made our move this time last year. I will get back to the blog, soon, dearest, and show pics of progress.
    Much much love!!!
