Aprons for Lily

Hello dear friends.  Thank you all for your kind comments on my last posts, and happy spring!

I have not owned a sewing machine for a long time.  I have never been what one would call a seamstress.  Always had such a difficult time with patterns, but I do enjoy hand stitching.   I thought I would make  Lily a couple of aprons.  One for her Tea Party with her favorite stuffed toys, and one she can wear while painting at her Easel.
Hand Painted on white muslin, then washed, ironed and sewn together.

This is Lily's art station, and her first painting..  I can't believe she is 19 months old already!
Can count to 11.   Knows most of her letters by sight.  Has quite the vocabulary, and is now putting  words together.  Last week she said.  " Lily's eyes" as clear as  a bell.
She is such a joy.

I know she will invite Grover to her Tea Party

Thank you for visiting....   Wishing you all a beautiful week.

Penny

Hello again. So good to be back Please meet Rose

Dear friends,

It has been much too long since I have visited all of you, or  posted..  Sometimes life just serves you up a few challenges.  I have missed you all.  I am looking forward to visiting you.
The latest was Cataract surgery.  Right eye is healing and I am comfortable on the computer now for short spans of time.  Will have the left eye done in a few weeks.

I just wanted to pop in and wish you all a beautiful spring, and introduce you to Rose,  my little needle felted skunk.  She is available on Ebay.. I had finished her before my eye surgery, along with another piece.

I think I will probably find other mediums to work with until my eyes have healed.  I worry that working with the wool,  I may have fibers floating in the air when I pull the pieces.  I may be overly concerned, but I will wait.  There is always drawing and painting.

Below, please meet Rose..  She is in a fixed position .I  also needle felted her a resting place.

Wishing you all a beautiful week ahead.
blessings,
Penny
