Sunday 2-20....Imagine my delight this afternoon when I went to visit Judy ~Once We Were Faeries ~to thank her for her lovely thoughts about my painting. What a welcome that was! She had honored me with this beautiful award pictured above.... Thank you Judy! Please visit Judy and her exquisite fairies. They are pure magic.. She is a wonderful artist and a dear friend.. I would like to pass it along to a few lovely artists.. Angela* Through the eyes of an artist .... Pat Elliott Paintings ... Lisa* Scherer Originals .... Martina * Chantelaine's Dreams. Paulette * Beedeebabee . Please take a moment to visit these wonderful artists.
Very soft in color, I chose three colors, light sage green, Payne's grey, and blue.. I have added a little dimensional paint and glitter for the crown and twigs. This particular painting was done on a board canvas.. 11x14" ... Unfortunately, I could not get any photos that show the true colors.. The photos are close, but not quite.. The background is more of a soft sage..
I hope you enjoyed viewing.. Wishing all my dear friends and readers a wonderful weekend.

I love it, and I think you do to...putting it on EBAY may take some slow consideration my sweet!!!! VERY DARLING BIRDS...aren't birds the best? Now, this is a great way for me to ease into a three day weekend. I am spent and ready to just blog a new post.....I hope I can come up with something!!!! THINKING OF YOU, Anita

ReplyDeleteBONJOUR MY SWEET AND TALENTED FRIEND! Oh Penny, I am refreshed and who do I see here on my new blog post??? THE QUEEN OF MICE, THE QUEEN OF lovely, lovely paintings...oh dearest, I love the crown and the CASTLE and again, BIRDS are my favorite subjects. THANK YOU FOR COMING OVER so late or early....I was so "GONE" last night that I ambled into our new room, flopped on the couch and missed my TEA!!! Tea Rat was NOT AMUSED! I shall make up for it this morning however, for it is still, it is SATURDAY, and I have TIME to savor a cup of tea without having to worry about rushing into work. Ahhh....Ruben is at a meeting today and will leave me with some scraping, patching up and painting of the dining room. I want to get that done so I can get my beautiful harvest table back in and the CHANDELIER..I am dying to see that sparkle again! What do you have planned today? ANOTHER PAINTING? ANOTHER MOUSE?? Oooooo...I am always waiting to see what other CUTE CREATURE will issue out of ANGELSDOOR!

Life is humming along in a happy peaceful sort of way however I'm working many days in a row and it's kept me from commenting and visiting everyone. I managed to post on Nowhere today, dear little Pippit feeling a little blue but thanks to the memory of her dear Auntie Precious she is able to put on her slippers and go on...
MY DEAREST! ANOTHER MOUSE IN THE WORKS?OH YEAH! How can it not be...you are the Mouse Meister and without a new mouse on the assembly line, it just wouldn't be right!!!! Oh dear, cuteness is on its way!!! THANK YOU FOR COMING TO DANCE TO THE DIVINE MISS M.!!!! Isn't she a great singer? So sassy, fun to watch and her music is so lively. ENJOY PRECIOUS; I am dancing right with you!!! Anita

Oh dear... my comment got swallowed up!
ReplyDeleteOh well...here goes again!
I love this! You have captured the essence of birds in this painting! They are such etheral creatures...often we humans take them for granted - but they can fly!! You've captured this majesty in these creatures in this fantasy... one that isn't really fantastical at all!! After all, once these creatures stop socializing, they can spread their wings and fly off to that castle in the background where they can make their home!
Lovely use of color...
Blessings!
Ann
I love it Penny. How very imaginative. Soft and sweet and very Fairy like. The colors are perfect as are the adorable little birds.

I absolutely love looking at your paintings!! They are all so serene...I don't know if it's the color schemes or what. The little birds are so beautiful, the little bird on top of the wall to the left reminds me so much of my little Cockatiel Buddy...He died about 5 years ago but will ever be my favorite pet bird. Oh gosh, now I am thinking about him again...

For some reason, the colors, the little bird song in the background, and the castle afar in the distance, makes it seem very 17th century romantic. I find it to be a very peaceful and lovely piece.
ReplyDeleteThank you Penny. You are so kind to give me an award. I hope I get time to post it. I love the bird painting! Wow-o-WOW. So dreamy!
