  4. It's very beautiful, and very well done! I love pencil too-it's fun to get the different shades-so much softer than pen and ink, though I like that too....
    You've done a beautiful portrait!

  9. This is beautiful, Penny. I am mesmerized by your pencil sketches, and I've never told you how much of a beautiful art I think this is. My son drew a few sketches years ago, and I still have them tucked away. You are very talented, and your sketches always make me think of the story behind the person.

    love, ~Sheri

(I love the song that's playing also, it's a favorite of mine).

  11. Oh Penny...I am so sorry for not visiting your blog more often... I have had serious blog neglect for quite awhile.
I just love your pencil drawing...it seems like all of your drawings remind me of my mother. This one is wearing her hair the same my mother used to wear hers...
I just love all of them.
I hope you are well. Take care my sweet friend!!

  12. I love the serene, 1940's look of your ladies. Like Dessa, I am reminded of my mother and the music just adds to the memory. Mom played this record constantly. So lovely Penny. Don't you just love using your pencils?! Me too.
