I was strolling around the garden department at Home Depot and came across this darling little hummingbird.. I can't believe she stayed put for a photo shoot... Can you see her? She is sitting on the tall wood post.
The heat is on here... Wishing you all a beautiful upcoming weekend.

Oh yes I can ! An unexpected treat - how delightful ^_^ xx
ReplyDeleteHow lovely, Penny. She was posing just for you! ♥
ReplyDeleteOh Penny, you're so lucky. They don't stay still for long. I just some one today at the nursery, and it flew right in front of me and gone the next second. How exciting that one sat on the post for a little while for you to enjoy. This is a beloved bird, very special, indeed.
ReplyDeleteYes, it's getting warmer here too. :)
love, ~Sheri
Dear Penny,
ReplyDeleteHow lovely that the sweet hummingbird stayed around to enable you to get a photo. We do not have these birds over here in NZ so lovely to see it.
Happy weekend

I SEE HER!!!!!! I DO!!!! At Home Depot! teeehee..yes, we have many a sparrow at our HD, but a hummingbird? Now that is a DIY bird..always humming along, busy, busy, busy! AND, I thought of you dearest (well, you are always on my mind) yesterday as I was driving past a gorgeous pond in a lovely residential area of the suburb where I work. In one of the trees lining the pond shores, I saw something white hanging from the tree limb. At first I thought it was a plastic bag or an empty milk jug. IT WAS AN EGRET!!! I had my camera, but I didn't have anywhere to park (no parking in that area!) but YOU came to mind. You would have loved that moment.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Drora

ReplyDeleteI don't ever think I've seen a hummingbird "stop"! Definitely not sit! Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteAaaaah look at that sweet little bird..doesn't it make you happy..:)
ReplyDeleteGosh < I didn't know they could actually sit still! I once held a hummingbird in my hand, it was trapped in the house and flew around the ceiling for at least 45 minutes without ceasing! Finally it wore itself out, and I was able to catch it. I took it outside, and opened my palm, it sat there for a few seconds and then WHOOSH! up, up and away!
ReplyDeleteThank you dear friends for visiting.. I am going in five different directions, and hope to visit soon.
ReplyDeleteOh Penny I do see her. Looks to me she has a lovely spot to hum...I am enjoying mine here. Great shot. Hope you stay cool. Hugs!
