Hello, my name is Peanut

Look what I found

hmmmmm.  Looks like a peanut to me

Do you think I can crack that shell?

Well... That was tasty!

Oh my!  And what is this here I see
Could it be a wee mouse?

awwwww... I love you to the moon!

Must go now... I think I need to find his mother. I am sure she is worried.

Hello everyone..   I have to say that Peanut was a joy to create... Firmly needled felted over a wire armature and a second coat applied tiny pieces at a time and felted in... When finished I gave him a scissor sculpt.  I will admit that his 20 toes were more work than I would have liked, but I am pleased with the results..  Wire that was wrapped in wool, then inset into a felted pad and  needle felted on to his legs. Her wool is courtesy of dear Sophia, one of Jeri's  beautiful sheep.
.. Again Jeri, thank you so much.. Click here to see Sophia and Jeri's amazing sheep she has created.

Peanut is available on Ebay.  The wee mouse is not included in the auction and does not appear in the listing... I just thought they were so sweet together,  I wanted to share with you.

Wishing you all a beautiful weekend...
Thank you so much for taking time to come over and say hello to Peanut.
blessings,
Penny

  1. OK....this is NOWHERE WORTHY! I LOVE THIS GUY! teeeeheee....for a moment there, I thought he was developing a taste for MOUSE! NO WAY! He is a gentle little rascal, this Peanut! And good job little man - you cracked that shell in seconds flat! You've got the claws to dig in and take what you want!

Oh his eyes Penny, he is just perfect! I need to find a video I saw the other day of a racoon rolling like a roly poly....Peanut reminds me of him! And I love how he is bendable!

Well, you have done it once again my friend. And thank you for the chirping birds in the background....heaven knows we out here need the song of nature to wake us up.

OK PEANUT! What is your mouse's name...BUTTER? If so, you need another mouse named Jelly and you'll be a great team!

    LOVE LOVE LOVE!

  3. Dear Penny,

Peanut and the little mousie are so very cute and how lovely that you used some of the wool from Jeri's sheep.
The background music of the birds are sweet and makes me feel like I am walking through the bush.
Thanks for the lovely time visiting your blog
    Happy weekend
    hugs

  10. Penny,
I'm sitting scrolling up and down your delightfully posed photos of little sweet Peanut. The claws are so realistic and that tail is sweet and I'm sure striped took awhile to achieve.
I am fascinated watching raccoons while they eat. Dipping their food into water as they consume. My Simon cups his paw and drinks water from it like a cup. I think he must of learned from a raccoon.
The artful magic you create brings such joy my friend. Peanut is a cutie for sure.

  12. hehehe, Peanut is darling, and I can see how you gave him a second coat because he looks fuller than the usual adorable animals you create. And what a great idea to give him a scissor sculpt, he looks more bushy that way. With him holding onto that peanut and the words you wrote, it looks just like he is really talking.

oh, Peanut is delightful, I love him!

Have a very nice Sunday, Penny.

  13. Soooooooooooo sweet!!!! Oh, my Penny, this is... so wonderful!
And this mousey!!! And the beard of the racoon (is this the right word?), fabulous!
My niece is having a baby - and we call it... peanut! Well, not, when he is born, of course, but as long as he is in his moms belly, he is "peanut" :)))
So I had to laugh :)
I wish you a wonderful week, Penny! Your friend Méa

  15. Penny, no rain this weekend, only cloudy and foggy, but the sun started to shine at different parts of the day. That's the thing about California, the sun always tries to peek through. :~)

    Hello Peanut, you delightful raccoon.

  24. Peanut is another sweet creation, and his little story was as déar as can be, he almost looks sad to see the mouse having to leave.
Penny, do you ever have artist block? I know its been happening to me these last few months, so I am now involved in a teaching art class teaching some art, and I joined I. On a pottery class and so enjoying making pottery pieces.
I will share the pieces down the line when I get the right un-perfect look to my art style.

Thank you for making time to visit me.
I am off to bed and going to wake inspired to finish a couple of pieces for my esty next week :)

    See you soon beautiful

  34. Penny, I just love the smell of Old Spice - how nice that you remember that about your dad. And hot cocoa I love too. Isn't it funny how we remember the simple things about our moms and dads? My mom was the creative one, and I would come home from school and she'd have a whole room redecorated.

Have a beautiful rest of the week, Penny.

  37. MISS PENNY! Bebe darlin', thank you for coming to Nowhere to celebrate 33 cups of tea! teehee

Did mum's poot-poot give her trouble? I hope it's all fixed by now; maybe she should bring it into Nowhere's poot-poot repair shop. We can fix it, no charge, and magically make it so that you never, ever have to take it in again for repairs. How 'bout it?

    LOVE!
