You remember Mary and her lamb, don't you? I needle felted her last year. She has been behind glass for the past year, telling me stories of how she would love to get out into the world. So I have decided to put her up for adoption.. Mary and her lamb are now available on Ebay. I thought she should have an apron, so I fashioned her one using lace and ribbon..
Happy Valentine's day dear friends... Wishing you all a joyful day. And thank you so much for all your kind comments you had left for little Henry...

ReplyDeleteHer beautiful hair and face, that gorgeous blue dress and bonnet...oh geeeeeeeeeeeez...I wish I could buy her! I pray that her little wishes to go out into the world would come true and that a loving collector of your art would snatch her up. I do believe she wants to travel with her lamb. Ah....there are those birds in your garden singing...soon we will all be outside, playing!
My dear, dear friend, it is so refreshing to see your art work on display here once again!

DeleteMary and her little lamb are darling, Penny. Her bonnet and blue dress are so cute. And the lamb with the bell hehehe. I really like the backgrounds that you use in your creations. They add a special touch to everything you do.
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet post. I hope you had a delightful Valentine's Day. Husband and son are putting up shelves in the garage today for me. It should be nice.
Have a beautiful Sunday. Oh, how I love these childhood songs, Penny, and I remember this one well.
~Sheri
Hi Sheri,
DeleteThank you so much.. I thought it would be nice to have a spring background so I just painted this on a poster board... I like the large size, this way it works for larger pieces also.
Wow. Needle felted Mary is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYou have to have so much patience .

Dear Penny.
DeleteThank you for your kind message . I am glad You like my dolls .
I have tried needle felting myself. I made a little Teddy bear,it took me ages to finish him...
I cannot imagine how long did Mary take to complete .
Kind Regards
Timea
Penny, I remember this. And i remember being so impressed with Marys hair and face and figure She sort of reminds me of Snow White in all her dainty loveliness. The apron was a nice addition. I like Lambys tail, it was typical to leave the tail on the sheep in the 18th century.
ReplyDeleteOhhhhh! Penny,
ReplyDeleteThis is the first time that I have seen Mary and she is such a beauty!! So delicate and graceful! And the lambie so soft and cute! I also love the blue gown! What a treat Mary and her lamb are!!
Have a wonderful week!! Many blessings dear one, Linnie
Hi Penny, Yes you did spy Jeri's beautiful art on the wall!
DeleteHung in perfect spot! (I think it makes the wall most charming)!!
:-)
sending warmth, xx
