AHHHHHHH! This is the BEST surprise all day! I LOVE THIS! OK, you are on to something here.....let me go to email! Penny, thank you for making me smile and giggle as I sit here enjoying the day, and even seeing a squirrel as such come right up to my door and LOOK in the house! Don't you just wish we could sit and talk and take tea and read with the animals? You make it happen. Back in a bit!
Penny there is a preciousness in this beautiful drawing and the squirrel warms my heart. Your talent takes my breath away in admiration. Beautiful. xoxo, Vera
She's beautiful! I love her little squirrel friend...we have the same kind of grey squirrels scampering around in the pine trees up here. They seem to be making a comeback, thankfully, after a plague decimated them in 2008. Have a week filled with blessings...
I do love your beautiful new work - so gorgeous and with the sweet squirrel. Also enjoyed listening to the wonderful music. Thanks for the kind visit to my blog today and your friendship. Sending hugs and wishing you a great new week Carolyn
Good morning beloved one...had to come back to peek and see what these two are up to before I go out into the world to work. Oh, have an enchanting day dearest one!
What a beautiful sight here, your art tells its own story, not a word needed. You need to illustrate a book my dear, a children's picture book of story time.
Penny, Stopping in to appreciate this beautiful drawing and the past few posts of pencil magic created by your endless imagination and talent. Have a lovely day. xoxo, Vera PS thanks for your visit and your sweet words.
Hi Penny, thank you so much for your comment on the goslings. They are so close to a finish. I have been busy trying to find another car [mine was declared a write-off] that I haven't been painting or drawing much. But I think I have another car - will see it on Saturday! Kathryn
So lovely!!!!! And unique, I do believe this is the first woman and squirrel portrait I've ever seen!!!! You did a wonderful job on this, and her expression is so sweet. And squirrels..... I keep seeing them around here and the dogs do too..... how they wish they could also climb trees to continue the chase!
Oh my friend, all the pet peeves I have doesn't pertain to your blog at all. You always leave the sweetest comments, and Yes, you come over directly and answer my question if I have one. I have noticed that, and I feel it's rare and appreciate it so much. Lately, I've been noticing blogs that have very large photos, so large that they fill the page. It's hard for me to view them, that's why I mentioned it.
Your blog is wonderful Penny, and I wouldn't change a thing.........or You. You have a sincere heart, and that means more to me than anything. : )
I've missed much I see. She is most lovely, and every girl needs a squirrel! Winsome Woods, I really like that.Is she pencil or charcoal? You do such nice work in this style. It's been difficult to keep up with blogs lately, no computer whilst on the road and when we are home for 2 or 3 days it's do laundry, pack more art and then off again. I miss my buds!
Hi dear Penny -looks like you draw a lot these days! The portrait you show here is so delicate and pretty - real nice work! Have a fun and creative week!
Just stopped by again to see your sweet drawing of Winsome Woods. Thank you for your comment on Nel's night out in Hollywood. Since you live in So Cal, have you ever been to Hollywood, Penny?
She is utterly enchanting, Penny. She reminds me of an illustration in a beloved fairy tale book long ago -- it was m favorite book and illustrations like that were the reason why.
