Take time to smell the roses...
This little fairy is..
Do you know where fairies hide in the wee hours of the morning?
I do.
This painting is 9x9" acrylic on canvas.. I hope you enjoyed.
Thank you so much for taking time to visit.
blessings,
Penny
THERE YOU ARE! I am taking a break from writing a poem for Tuesday, and I am so glad I did. I was waiting for the roses to bloom in your garden, and sure enough, the rose fairy has breathed life once again in your canvas garden dear friend. Yellow roses, Oh Penny, thank you. Thank you for sharing your work with us, for you truly inspire. Like you, wanting to unfold each petal on the canvas, I am sitting here trying to unfold words onto the page. It is not easy, is it dear artist and best friend!?
ReplyDeleteAcrylics are something I wanted to try this summer, but an endless summer is a state of mind, not a span of time. It's back to school soon for me, meaning limiting what activities I engage in, but I do hope to put some time aside to try at least ONE small canvas - but it won't be roses, because the many layers of the rose require skill and practice, which you obviously have put to great use. BRAVO! And sweet greetings to the rose fairy my friend! HAPPY SUNDAY! Anita
Penny the pink roses of your other painting made me feel peaceful beauty and this charming painting with the sweet rose fairy makes me smile and daydream. Your art is amazing because you have the ability to emotionally reach us. Love the pink rose crown on your precious fairy.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your visit, your kind words always brighten my day.
XO,
Vera
I see you painted the yellow ones, They are just as lovely as the pink, wow! i am no good with acrylics, at least not now... it has been years since I have used them. I guess I will always be a watercolor gal.

Penny dear this is awesome. I love it. Maybe I need to go check out my roses - there may be a fairy there too. You are so talented. Thank you too for welcoming me back and your wonderful visit. Take care and have a great day. Hugs
ReplyDeleteI like how the fairy is camouflaged to be hard to see in your garden, near the yellow rose. I think fairies are rather shy and rarely seen, :)
ReplyDeletePenny -- the diversity of your talents never ceases to amaze me! Lovely!
ReplyDeleteAh! Your yellow roses and darling fairy are so lovely and tender, dear Penny!! So beautiful....
ReplyDeleteSimply enchanting!!!
Hugs and blessings,
