Please meet Dexter.. My needle felted Chipmunk.

Hello.... My name is Dexter.. Won't you visit awhile?
I will share my peanut with  you.

Yes,  I said peanut... No acorns or Hazelnuts for me... This would be my all time favorite.

See that hole in the tree?  I have all sorts of things in there.  Mostly peanuts.

So long.... Thank you for visiting me.

I had such fun creating this little fellow...  He stand 5 1/4 inches tall, needle felted in beautiful sheep wool.   I have wired his little paws, and have given him glass eyes..  Thank you so much for coming over to meet Dexter..  He is available on Ebay...
Wishing you all a safe and enjoyable weekend.

I wanted to make the peanut out of paper clay, but ran out. So I thought... why not the wool.

  11. I AM FINALLY HERE!

OK, Rattus is going to have to hold back Tea Rat because you know how Tea Rat loves to bring home animals. Now he wants to have a chipmunk of his own, be Rattus fears that Dexter would eat all their nuts! YOWSA, PENNY.....YOU DID IT AGAIN!

I am impressed with how you have captured his markings to a "T" and his face? LOTS OF PEANUTS IN THERE! My goodness, his tail.....you did have fun with this little feller, I can tell! What can't you do? BRAVO BRAVO! And I'm with Jeri in asking, "Does he like peanut butter sandwiches?" Or, is he into the crunch of the nut itself? teeeheee

    Perfectly made Penny. YOU ROCK!!!!!

  13. Good morning my fine friend!

teeheee......I just laughed when you said that when you fashioned Dexter that his cheeks just kept getting bigger and bigger...teehee...I could see you getting carried away, but in a PERFECT WAY because this is it. THIS IS DEXTER the dexterous chipmunk who can hold more than one peanut in his little hands! teehehee

    HOW ARE YOU TODAY?

  14. Rattus: Wow, Miss Penny, Dexter is quite the handsome fellow. But I think Dexter better not advertise to the world about all the nuts he stores in the tree. Otherwise, Tea Rat will be visiting him several times a day under some pretense or other.

    Tea Rat: I heard that.

  16. Hello Dexter, aren't you a cutie! Penny, I just took a picture of a squirrel or chipmunk at the park, and it was the cutest thing. I can't tell the difference between them whenever I see them in person. Your little guy looks so soft, and that peanut is too funny. His little cheeks are so full; he reminds me of Alvin the Chipmunk which Nel loved as a little girl.

It is such a delight seeing all the clever things that you make.

    love,
    ~Sheri
