Good evening..... This is what I accomplished today. I have also been needle felting, but we will talk about that another day.... I have not picked up my brushes in quite some time... I really have missed painting, so I thought I would practice on small works till I can get back into the swing of things.. Tomorrow I think I will paint yellow roses...
Thank you so much for taking time to visit..
blessings,
Penny
Hello Penn, my how talented you are! Painting is something I have not tried! I love how you are into Angels and Faeries.....just beautiful xo
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful, Penny! :)
ReplyDeleteSHEESH, WOMAN! If this is what you can do without having lifted a brush in a while, what can you do if you painted daily? I don't know, but I do know it would be mind-blowing! Roses are so hard to paint. I tried it once on a little wooden bed for Tea Rat (teeeheee) and he disapproved. That rat!
ReplyDeleteYELLOW ONES NOW? Ohhhhh.....do it, do it! Bravo to you because you always go for it. I'm sitting here trying to must up the courage to write a poem for my workshop group but fear grips me. I need to just do what you do and START! Look what you ended up with!
Big hugs to you dearest Penny!
Penny,
ReplyDeleteYour roses are magnificent, even after a painting break you discover true talent has always been there. I've enlarged the photo and I adore the way you layered the background in the old Dutch masters style and gave the pink such depth.
I ask you friend is there anything you can not do? Your heart and hands create magic.
XO,
Vera
That is a romantic little painting and I want to see your next yellow roses painting.
ReplyDeleteI love your roses!! Two of the hardest things for me to paint are roses and waves of water! Thanks for your visit! Love your music....lovely!
ReplyDeleteDearest Penny, your roses are absolutely gorgeous! I love the contrasts...very romantic.... :)
ReplyDeleteThis is what I aspire to in my painting....thank you for the INSPIRATION! Beautiful.
Now I can't wait to see the yellow ones!
Are your roses still in bloom? Have you been getting rain?
We are in the middle of a dry spell and nature is begging for water.
Thank you, sweet friend, for your visit! Congratulations on winning Anita's tea set, I'm so happy for you!
It was indeed such a fun adventure...
Much love and blessings to you,
- Irina
Penny, these are a hundred times better than mine will ever be.I think they are lovely, soft and natural looking. I especially like the opening bud on the lower left. The highlights are perfect. It's like you never put down your brush!
ReplyDeleteGood evening dear and wonderful soul! Oh I see Jeri was here and I agree; soft and natural, inspired by a whiff of the perfume of summer. I now want to see the magic you have created in yellow! Thank you for coming by the blog my dear....feel well, and back tomorrow! XOXOXO
ReplyDeleteHi Penny, your painting looks beautiful and classic.
ReplyDeleteHope you will post the yellow roses too!?
