Needle felting ~ Mini Anita~

This is where I keep all my Merino wool.. I love hat boxes

In this hat box..... my cross mix sheep wool

A while back, dear Anita asked that I Needle felt what she calls
mini me... from her Illustration below... Only  a beret instead of a bow, and blue coat, like the one she had as a child. I know some of you have seen  ~little Anita~ but thought you may enjoy the works in progress.  I only took a few.

This is the photo Anita sent for inspiration. I just adore her artwork!

These are the sleeves of the coat...  The coat was made in the same manner, then I felted it onto her body.

I gave her a black under dressing

Here we are.. all done.. I thought she should have a little bag to match her beret

Getting ready to travel

I will miss you...

Anita sent me this sweet photo below today.. I needed a profile photo. The quality of Anita's photo is much better
Merci!

Thank you so much for visiting today..
I hope you enjoyed.

Now,  if you have not been to Nowhere today and are in need of laughter and a lot of fun, please drop in and see dear Rattus over in Nowhere
He is back from the hospital... You will not believe what Anita has put together.. and the conversations between Tea Rat and Rattus will give you a belly laugh.. It is such FUN!

To my dear friends, Anita and Ruben... Thank you so much for giving me the gift of friendship and TONS of laughter..
Merci!
Penny

  1. My goodness, Penny....what a fun day this has been. To start the day with you, to send you the photos...then I'm over here playing with the rats, taking pictures. How much more fun could we have? The ultimate would be to make a movie. Now wouldn't that be a hoot? Irina mentioned the idea of the stop photography that would allow YOUR creations to move. Now to figure that out!

I love my little doll and her hair is just like mine, her little blue coat just like mine, and the fun has only begun. Thank YOU for playing with us today at Nowhere; now to see if Dimity wants to assist in your ELEPHANT SURGERY! Callin' Dr. White! teehee

  8. Penny,
Anita had introduced me to her mini me through photographs. The enthusiasm and delight of mini Anita was felt through Anita's sharing of her photos.
Penny I know I say this over and over again... You create magic through your fingers and hands.
I especially enjoy when you share your photos of the actual creation. Oh and I think the hatbox is a brilliant idea for storage and pretty storage.
    Sending a big hug,
    Vera

  9. Penny,
A mini Anita - this is adorable! I love everything about this latest creation of yours - the red baret, the blue coat, and the red shoes. This has got to be my favorites yet. I love hand made dolls so much. When Nel was little, my mom made her a hand made doll, and to this day, she still has it.

Penny, you really did a wonderful job making her. She makes me smile every time I look at it.

    Love,
    ~Sheri

  10. MY DEAR! I just saw your visit to Castles, and I was hoping to take a photo for you today of my Bebe on the fainting couch! But my camera was not working this morning, however, I've been recharging the battery and let's cross our fingers. I will be back.

  12. I saw Mini Anita before, so darling. It makes it so interesting seeing how these are created. Anita must love her! Like Violet above, I wonder how you do the faces, are they wool also?
Oh I am tired, just got home from garden show after 4 long days. But it was a nice success for us and I bought bunches of pussy-willows to plant by our pond. See you later, I am going to bed!

  25. Oh, Penny! You and Anita must be VERY good friends indeed to have her own personal Angeldoor Anita! She's exquisite, as all your work is -- but I've seen Anita's photo on her blog and you captured her perfectly! I love the little beret -- cuter than the bow. Such detail. A true gem.
