Beautiful Native American Flute music
Enjoy
I dug out some of my very old paintings today... (Now I have made a mess and need to put them all back) Painting's everywhere...I am sure many of you Artists have several portfolios full of forgotten paintings and drawings..
Looking at my past work brings back memories.. It's kind of fun to look back at all your attempts... I came across this painting that is signed with my maiden name.. This painting is about 40 years old.. This was rendered in Oil on a 16 x 20 stretched canvas.. I hope you have enjoyed viewing and listening to the beautiful flutes.
Wishing you all a peaceful and joyful week ahead, and thank you so much for always being so kind as to wander over for a visit.
Blessings,
Penny
I shut my eyes and bathed in that beautiful flute music as soon as it began ... beautiful, soul touching.

PENNY?????????????????????
ReplyDeleteFORTY YEARS OLD? How my beloved auntie would LOVE this painting, for she loves the Native American culture and peoples. Your rendering is gorgeous, with every facial line becoming an expression of deep beauty. This is like POETRY! Yes, for every stroke is like a word, every contour, a sentence, and the whole image is the poem. WHAT ELSE DO YOU HAVE IN YOUR CLOSET!!!!!!!!!!
And the touch of the music is divine and peaceful. Life is good, is it not?
And I see Harold the RACCOON on the side bar, Miss Bebe and all the other lovely works that bring me back to the memory of when you and I first "met" on-line on my little blog NOCTURNE...remember??
Wishing you a fantastic day of memories and making NEW ONES. LOVE! Anita

ReplyDeleteI enjoy going through old artwork and sketchbooks and what a treat for you to find this. I used to paint Indians too, a lot. Sometimes I sift through a box of unfinished work and make plans to "pick up where I left off".. but I never seem to do it.
ReplyDeletegosh, How did I miss this? I was looking to see if you had posted just the other day, and I didn't see this! Beautiful rendition! And the flute songs, are so haunting, and beautiful. Can't believe it took you forty years to show this off! Love you dear friend, hope you are well. Christel

Hi Penny, Summers comming to an end it goes to fast. Beautiful Portrait! --I love his skintone, There is such a depth and warmth to oil portraits. I did a few oils, when I started, I loved oils for portraits, but remembering back I didnt like using turpetine to clean brushes and the prices per tube were too high and the waiting for layers too dry -so I switched to acrylic, but seeing this beautiful portrait!,the passion in it, reminds me too of the reason why I loved them.Sincerely,Jonny
