Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... He says he is the Chicken Inspector, dressed in his best, even brought his cane... Trying to fool everyone with that innocent look... Do you believe it? I am not so sure... I say, lock up the chickens!
This was such fun to create... No, he is not realistic looking, but what Chicken Inspector would be?
Countless hours went into needle felting this little guy in merino wool.. He is original, and has been felted over a handmade wire armature that I wound with wool yarn, then started needle felting
Fredrick stands 8 1/2" tall. His vest is black felt, with a trim down the front edge and around the bottom.. He has a map in his pocket. You may pose him gently..
I hope you have enjoyed viewing Fredrick the Chicken Inspector.
I would like to thank everyone for always being so kind as to wander over for a visit, and leaving such sweet notes at my door.
Have a great weekend.
blessings,
Penny

OH PENNY.....
ReplyDeleteYOU ARE TOO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!
I am loving your mind. I am loving how you take us by surprise and we never, ever know what you are going to cook up next!!!!! OK FREDRICK, YOU CAN'T FOOL ME! I say to JERI LANDERS....lock up the girls! Frederick is COMING TO THE HOLLOW! Do NOT let him in!
His tail, PENNY! WHAT IS NEXT????? This is way too cute. I so wish there was a way to make a little movie with these characters! I LOVE HIM! HEY, can he go to Nowhere? Can he travel there? I think he may need a passport, you know, crossing over into that wild place as a 3-D character and all that....but Tea Rat just may enjoy facing a fox!!!!!!
Oh you have made me smile today. FREDERICK OF HOLLYWOOD! teeeeeheeee......
I THINK that Sir Frederick is a citizen of Nowhere! He would be easily welcomed, for I do not recall any chickens or any other fowl that would be endangered by his presence. WE WELCOME FREDERICK! teeehee....oh his tail, PENNY!!
ReplyDeleteSo nice !!!!...how do you find your inspiration every time again ????love what you make !!...love from me.....happy weekend....xxx...
ReplyDeleteDear Penny,
ReplyDeleteHow precious and amazing your sweet Sir Fredrick the Chicken Inspector is.
Made me think of Jeri from Hopalong Hollow, she had a dapper gentleman very much like him.
You are so talented and love seeing what you make.
Hope you are enjoying the weekend
hugs
Carolyn
Oh my goodness...I LOVE your fox...I have a weakness for these little guys...yours is perfect. xoxo
ReplyDeleteFrederick! I know ALL about you so-called Chicken Inspectors... First you check the chickens plumpness, then you check the number of eggs in the nest, then you check to be sure no one is looking and then you CHECK OUT! With 4 fat, round hens in your gunny sack running towards the woods! You don't fool me MR. FREDERICK, what with your liquid brown eyes and luxurious tail... we have you pegged, and all our chicken are locked safely in the barn Mr smarty pants!
ReplyDeleteA handsome rogue! We all forgive handsome rogues, don't we?
ReplyDeleteteeheeee...I do believe that Miss Landers has RUN YOU OUT OF TOWN MR. FREDERICKS OF HOLLYWOOD! teeheee
ReplyDeleteI am thrilled beyond words my dear artist. This chicken thief is GONE and going to a new home! Hopefully, there are no chickens where he is going ! teeeeheee
He is a fine dapper Sly Fox indeed.
ReplyDeleteWhere do you come up with all these ideas Penny?
I am not sure i would want him watching over any of my chicks.
He is quite the foxiest of foxes, all dressed for a fine dinner it looks to be ...he, he he !!
Thank you Penny dear for sharing your thoughts on my latest find, I too was drawn to its patina, it's so driftwoody, grey's, whites, and so much garden appeal to its euro-chic-ness!
What's next for your hands that create?
Xox
Beautiful Sunday to you.

Dearest Penny...Fredrick really is GORGEOUS! That tail...wow...
You are amazing, dear friend...BRAVA!
Thank you so much for visiting me, and for your kind words that my caramel slices look good! Heee...I was expecting a much different outcome visually, but they do taste sensational.
A happy Sunday and St. Patrick's Day to you, beautiful Penny!
Much love,
