Just completed... I know this buggy may be a tad busy for some, (tad you say?) but you have to admit it is different.. I was trying to go out of the box, as it were, when creating the buggy.. It has been constructed using styrofoam, covered wire, cardstock ( I pleated) buttons, lace and rose petals from my garden that have sealed. Last I added a touch of glitter on the roses.
Needle felted Mama mouse and of course a baby mouse, all wrapped up... She is not removable from her pink blanket, however, she may be removed from the buggy.
Mama's skirt is handmade in felt with a lace overlay and tulle underskirt. Not removable.
Baby is 2 1/2" tall, Mama mouse is 4" and the buggy measures 4 1/2" in length.
Thank you so much for visiting..
Wishing all a beautiful weekend... Please remember to take time to stop and smell the roses along the way.
blessings,
Penny

ReplyDeleteDear Penny,
ReplyDeleteBusy? Not at all, for its all about the whimsy that adds to the story.
Your mice are our favorites, you grace them with the sweetest beauty.
I sold my Miss Doré théâtre to a most charming lady, her name is Vera who also after seeing the ballerina grey mouse dancing on my stage floor had to have one of her own. She purchased one from you in purple/lavender and she named her Violet after her aunt who was nick-named "mouse" so she named your mouse she purchased from you..."Violet"
She is not a bloggers. But follows us:)
I love your post on your getaway so wish I was your side kick, you guys look like you had a beautiful peaceful Valentine with the ocean as the back drop to being your stage of inspiring beauty.
I am up late, and was dealing with Hannah, being so sick...that flew cold thing, I hope and pray I don't get it.
Well off to bed see you soon.
Xoxo

ReplyDeleteI hope you're having a good week. This year is already flying by...haha...Thanks so much for stopping by and for your sweet comment on my blog.
Blessings to you too!

I adore the mice!!! In sixth grade, I begged my mom (who was afraid of them) to buy me a white mouse. After reading Stuart Little, I just loved the little creatures! The answer was always "no". Little would she suspect that when she went away for a weekend, leaving me in the care of my aunt, that upon returning, we would have a new addition to the household. Yay! for my aunt! So you can see that I was swooning over your creations.... so gosh, darn precious!
ReplyDeletei don't know how I missed this, but the buns are darling lil babes! 2 1/2 inches, geez, how do you do it?! I have been painting itty bitty things this week and I am going CRAZY, but you make these tinys all the time, with ease. Are you going crazy too???
ReplyDeleteJust popping in to wish you a lovely and happy week, dearest Penny!
ReplyDeleteYour creations make me HAPPY! :)
Much love and blessings,
- Irina
Oh Penny, They are so beautiful with your watercolor paintings behind them. They really do bring a smile.
ReplyDeleteHehehe, this buggy is so sweet, Penny. The Mama and baby are darling. It reminds me of strolling down the street with Nel when I was only 21 years old. A couple of girls spoke to me and said, "are you a mama - you're too young to be a mama." Oh, sweet memories, indeed. I just love your creations, and no, this is not too busy for me, as I love color in my life. The picture in the background just makes the whole scene special. Whenever I come over here, I always leave with a smile. Sometimes when we go OUT OF THE BOX, it is amazing what we can do!
