Please meet Pippi Sculpted by my sister Connie

My sister Connie loves Pippi Longstocking as I am sure many of us do. This is her interpretation. She has been handsculpted with a mix of polymer clays over a strong wire armature. Her eyes were hand made by sis... I believe Connie said she stands 10" tall.. I wanted to include a few photos of WIP.. She has many layers of clothing and look at her pretty little sculpted Mary Jane shoes.
I just had to share this little one with you.. I hope you enjoyed viewing.
Blessings to all
Penny

  1. PENNY!!!!! I totally missed this post as I was doing my last check yesterday afternoon of new posts. PIPPI is so beautiful and let me tell you, I have always admired the work that you, Pat, Christel and others do so well, but ever since I tried my hand at air dry clay and failed, I REALLY RESPECT the patience and skill that you all have to make every detail count! LOOK AT THOSE FINGERS! Teeeheee, you should have seen the awful results I got and then both dolls broke! I am sticking to paper maché. CONNIE IS WONDERFUL! Give her my regards! AND T.J. and Bebe made it without a scratch..whew....that was a REAL CLOSE ONE! Tea Rat is going out TODAY to look for a new machine! He does NOT want his darlings of Nowhere to risk life and limb during pleasure rides AGAIN!!! Off to kick some tires and knock on some metal for him......and back to the class for me dearest....ahhh...that was so darn fun last night; Ruben and I kept laughing out loud and coming to the computer...what fun times my sweet.

    Have a lovely day, Anita

  5. Dear Penny,

Tell you sister that her Pippi is wonderful. It is obvious that talent runs in the family. I just love your little creature creations (and of course we adore Bebe and Tea Rat that we bought from you).

I'm so glad that you are feeling better. And thank you for your wonderful comment on Heavenly Minded & Earthly Good. I've been so busy with the house addition, as well as my sabbatical project, that I've not posted since Jan 7, and I told myself I wanted to be consistent like a Anita (who posts once a week).

Your husband must have been a special gift from God. I wish I could have known him. Anita is part of ME, and the most consistently kind and lovely person I have ever known. If I lost her, I really don't know what would become of me. So I can only imagine your loss.

But you know Penny, Angelsdoor and your creations must have been inspired by God because I can see the strength and courage in you that you mentioned.

And other things too. The beauty of kindness and friendship. Anita and I are so glad we met you.

You are in our thoughts and prayers, dear friend.

    Ruben

Oh Yes, I had such fun in NOWHERE yesterday.. What a wonderful band of travelers we have. Bebe says thank you to TEA RAT for going out today to look for a new machine... She has a request... Said she would like a blue poot poot if he can find one.
    Bisous!

  9. Dear Ruben
I will most certainly pass along your kind words to Connie. Thank you so much for your visit. Yes, I am recovered, just in time to take of little Jasper. He is improving every day.

I always enjoy your posts at Heavenly Minded & Earthly Good, but this post moved me beyond words. It is hard to believe that it has been 2 years today that my beloved lost his 3 year battle with cancer. I miss him everyday, but he is in my and heart always and I hold our memories close. It is my wish to live with the strength and courage that he carried.. I have been blessed with 2 beautiful children and a grandchild. So you see I have much to be thankful for. A beautiful family, my health, and dear friends. For this, I thank the Lord. Yes Ruben, I wish you could have met him. I know you both would have enjoyed each other’s company and conversations.

It was because of my dear friend Rose that I have met so many wonderful people here. She encouraged me to keep this blog for my Angels.. For this I will be forever grateful to her.

Thank you Ruben for your heartfelt words.. Meeting you and dear Anita this past summer was a day I will remember always.. I am honored to call you my friends.
    Bless you
    Penny
