Last year Anita of Castles Crowns and Cottages was so kind to share this and many other beautiful photos that she had taken.. If I remember correctly she said she passes this beautiful bridge on the way to work each morning.. I would never get where I was going if I came upon this beautiful place.. I would park my car, take off my shoes and sit under that tree. If you would like to enter a world of beauty please stop in and see Anita...This was my inspiration for a painting I am working on.. I hope to have it completed soon and would like to share it with you.
Blessings,
Penny

Hola Acension
ReplyDeleteSí, Anita sabe cómo usar una cámara ... Espero que mi pintura se puede capturar la belleza que ella hizo con una cámara.
Bendiciones,
Penny
Penny, can't wait to see your painting! And you are so right, with a beautiful place like that, I would at the very least be late for work every day!

Hi Penny, My thoughts completely I too would have to take my shoes off and join you, what a beautiful picture I would not want to leave, I know your painting is going to be wonderful I always love your greenery in your paintings especially your cottage painting I remember. Sincerely, Jonny
ReplyDeletePENNY!!!! I AM FINALLY HERE! You know my usual scenario: get home late. Make dinner. Sit with Ruben and chat. Have tea. NIGHT NIGHT. teeehee! And last night, NIGHT NIGHT hit me over the head so fast, I don't know what hit me...oh DEAREST ONE! YOU, YOU BEAUTIFUL PERSON YOU!!!! Yes, this bridge crosses over MINNEHAHA CREEK in Edina, Minnesota. Only blocks away is my little school. What a GORGEOUS place this is, as there are many enchanting places in the Twin Cities. I do not know if you will ever have reason to come out here, but you know that if you do, you would:
ReplyDelete1. Have a nice place to stay. (Rabbit Hill)
2. Enjoy yourself to the hilt. (Complements of Tea Rat and Rattus)
3. Get to see this bridge and many other INSPIRATIONAL SCENES.
COme on over sometime dearest one!
THANK YOU FOR THE INSPIRATION MY SWEET! Anita
Hi Judy
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for wandering over.
I just love this photo.. Yes, such a comforting place to sit and ponder.
Blessings,
Penny
THAT BRIDGE!!!! We are replacing a bridge that crosses a creek on our property and in my minds eye, this is EXACTLY the kind of bridge I envision... only problem is it would likely cost a gazillion dollars to build. But I am so inspired by this photo. Maybe we can build a scaled down version. That is just the sort of image Anita would post on her beautiful blog. And you too!!
ReplyDeleteGreeting Jonny
ReplyDeleteI am still in awe over your new painting!
Thank you so much for coming over.. I know, this is such a beautiful photo, I hope I can do it justice.
The painting you remember is La Petite Chapelle.. It was also inspired by a photo on one of Anitas tips to France.. I became very attached to that painting..
Blessings,
Penny
Dearest Anita
I know how very busy you are with school and the addition.. How's it going? You are so sweet to take your precious time to come visit.
Oh goodie! I am glad my memory has not failed me... teehee. I thought that is what you had told me about the bridge.
How wonderful it would be to be able to come to Minnesota and SEE YOU! Well, you just never know what the future may bring. I will keep that on my wish list..
Bisous!
Penny

Once upon a time in a far off land Penny sat on the side of the bank and Jacqueline sat on the other. Together, they dreamed and planned and threw pebbles to each other...
ReplyDeleteWaiting for your masterpiece to come forth...
Oh Jackie... You made me smile this morning.. Would that be fun or what..... Thank you for your visit.. Almost completed..
ReplyDeleteI find myself wanting to relax in your painting. Very moving.
