As I was wandering about in an antique store, I came upon this pretty little pink metal purse.. It is not an antique, but beautiful just the same. As soon as it caught my eye, this is what I saw.. Little Colette.. She is about 2 1/4" tall.. Sculpted from a Cernit. Her fur is hand applied. I have fashioned her clothing from off white lace... Her little skirt is sewn on and is not removable.. Her hat, however, is... I hope she brings a smile... She is available on ebay if you would like to visit her there. Thank you for visiting.

YOU HAVE DONE IT AGAIN DEAREST. Again, there is a certain allure, esprit, air, to your little creations that just make me laugh and smile from ear to ear. Tea Rat is getting overwhelmed and is say, "SO MANY MICE, SO LITTLE TIME OR TEA!" And he is a bit "envious" shall we say, of Pierre, who lives within close proximity to these lovely ladies! I just LOVE HER POINTY LITTLE FEET! She looks as if she is posing on her little purse. Again, you are a master at looking at an inspiration object, then getting into your studio to build around your vision. BRAVO to you dear one. I shall be visiting again and have a lovely day.....the countdown is on....9 more days left. I can do it....

I'm peeking at you Colette and all I can think of is brown sugar and how you are as sweet as can be. I'm wondering who will love you so much that you will go and live in their home? It will be sad to see you go but you MUST spread the love around. You are adorable...almost to the point of wanting to give you a soft squeezey on your tummy...I just know you would giggle. Good morning dearest! You see how much love and giggles you spread around with these magic little mice you whip up? It is as if they were little sprinkles of fairy dust residue, where all the best is stored up. Heaven knows that all of us need a smile daily, and coming here is SMILE STATION....SMILE JUNCTION, where you can believe in angels, magic mice and such!!!! Have a lovely day my dearest....and Ruben said we must make a moment to go see you....in my mind, while in the L.A. area, most of our family will be at work in the day, only available at night after work, and the only people that we will see in the day time are Ruben's parents. We are staying with his mom, but we can try to skip over and meet halfway in Orange Cty....we can plan. I am so excited.
ReplyDeleteMust fly....off to an all day planning meeting for us NEW ENGLISH TEACHERS! Did I tell you? I will be team teaching with one of my fourth grade colleagues. I will still be teaching science and social studies in French, but now I will also be the English teacher to my students and to her students. YIKES! But I do think this is up my alley. Oh yes, I told you, 'cause I won't be teaching math anymore. YEAHHHHHHH!!!!!

ReplyDeleteColette has JUST arrived much to the delight of us all. Her portrait pictures are so endearing, however, they do not do justice to the pure cuteness that is Colette! Her shy little smile and round pink belly are making the girls laugh. She is now daintily posing on her purse (showing off a bit, I fear) and Hali wishes me to write..."Tell Miss Penny I love her!!".
