Crested Eagle Stippling

I thought I would try my hand at stippling. A drawing technique in which areas of light and shadow are created by using nothing but dots. This is my first attempt, and hope to improve over time. I must say that it teaches patience.  Have you tried you hand at stippling?

Thank you for viewing.

  1. Penny what a wonderful drawing. I have done stippling. It does take alot of patience. I find it rather meditative though. Hope you have a great week. Hugs!

  2. This drawing is beautiful already, Penny!
Yes, I've done this technique in my teens at school, we got order to draw lots of tiny squares which we had to fill up, by using this (and only this) technique of stippling. At the start it drove me crazy, but after a while it tranquilized me very much, so nice to do!
Thank you for reminding me this technique and sharing your crested eagle with us.
    Stay safe, take care.
Have a lovely day, dear Penny.
    Hugs, Ilona

  4. I have never done stippling, just cross hatching. It's a wonderful technique -- I'll have to try it. And the eagle is beautiful.
