Hello there.... Yesterday I was standing at the kitchen window and  this is what I saw floating over the house... Ran to grab my camera and took a photo through the window, but it did not come out clear, so I stepped out the back door and captured this shot.

Every few months it floats right over the house..   Thought you might enjoy. As you can see the sky is blue,  weather is beautiful.. It will be in the 80's today..

So much going on the the garden.. even though the bushes are still waiting for their spring leaves,  the bun buns and birds are enjoying the weather.  My mocking bird has returned also..  Noisy little bugger, but I love him.. He has quite the repertoire.

Wishing you all a beautiful week.

  2. Oh Penny the hot air ballon is a lovely capture. Would you ever go up in one, floating in the sky? I'm not fond of heights. The birds are singing their sweet songs in the morning and there is much promise of Spring in Philly.

  4. Penny, what a sight that must have been! I'm glad you took a picture for all of us to see. You know, for Jess' wedding shower this summer, she wants a "hot air balloon" traveling theme. :) wow, it's already in the 80's there. Only the 70's here, but getting warmer every day.

Oh, that noisy little mocking bird. I would love to see him sometime. :) Thanks for the colorful picture today. I just wanted to tell you that your blog is truly like a breath of fresh air to me, especially right now when dealing with a few family issues.

    love you, dear Penny.

  5. Oh, the bird at the bottom of my post is the Robin. There was a bunch of them at the park, so I took a pic. They are brave fellows and don't fly away quickly like the others. I love them so. :)

  8. Lovely picture, Penny, especially because of the wonderful blue sky. Here it has been dark weather since many days with rain, storm and lots of wind, but this morning the sun is shining again :D!
Thanks for sharing this divine blue color, I've missed it!
Blessing, have a nice week too.
    Hugs, Ilona

  9. Oh Penny, could this be Tea Rat and Rattus floating over your territory? Perhaps they are wanting to join the bunsters and the mockingbird for some garden FUN? Watch to see if this balloon has any mechanism problems....be ready at the radio to give instructions to Rattus to NOT PULL ON THE LEVER too hard (remember that Nowhere post? Gosh we laughed so hard)

What a great thing to see up in the sky. Did you think of Nowhere? I just did.

Enjoy your day dear friend. How I adore you.

  11. Ahhhh, I am so excited for Spring....but alas it is still so wintry here! Years ago I had the opportunity to go for a ride in a hot air balloon. There's nothing like it! It is so peacefully quiet up there as you float along above the countryside! Beautiful picture!!

  12. Gosh Penny, did you think you were dreaming? I would have! I see a little bit of Spring peeking through the black soil, hurrah! We've had enough rain to grow a forest.
