Happy New Year dear friends!

My wish is that you all had a very joyful and peaceful Christmas and New Year... I have not been able to be at the computer for awhile, know I have missed much..

. This past week I have been thinking about how enriched my little world has been with all of you in it...  Thank you so much for always being so kind with your words and sharing your days in your part of the world..  Another year of enjoyment visiting you all.

A few weeks before Christmas,  I thought I would try to incorporate crocheting with my needle felting.   I found the results interesting, and most enjoyable... This is how Wesley the Weasel  came to be.
Four skeins of yarn, and a little needle felting for details..  I did not make a pattern, nor count crochet stitches, so the changes of me making another Wesley are slim... I just started crocheting and kind of winged it, as it were...  He is very cuddly, filled with fiber fill.   Wesley is rather a large, and must say odd Weasel, measuring about 16" seated..    I have become quite attached to him and not sure if I will put him up for adoption.

Wesley
 16" seated

Then of course,  I had to make him a wee  friend...
 Please meet  Mr. Nibbs
5 1/4" tall

Wesley and Mr. Nibbs

And last but certainly not least,
I would like you to meet
 Cinna Bun
Now available on Ebay
7 inches seated, if she could stand on her skinny long legs she would measure 13".  She does set by herself due to her bushy tail... "

I am anxious to visit you all, and will do my best very soon..
Love and blessings,
Penny and Bebe

And a very warm hello to my new readers!

  1. Penny it is you and your magical sweet trio that has enriched my evening and I appreciate you and your unlimited talent. Wesley, Mr. Nibbs and Cinna bun with her sweet bow are irrestisble. I am enlarging the photos to truly appreciate the texture of the yarn and your needle felting. The coloring is extraordinary and Wesley is so cute with that nose.
Wishing you joy, health and blessings in 2016.

And I wanted to tell you that I love the song that is playing on your music today. I haven't heard it this Christmas season yet, and I appreciate this song very much.

  18. Dear Penny,

How adorable all your lovely creations are, Wesley and Mr Nibbs are so very cute and love that you crocheted them.
I had my first experience with needlefelting - daughter bought a little kit for her and I to make -mine a reindeer and hers a Santa. Have a great respect for what you do, as I pricked my finger many times and made them bleed.
Happy New Year dear friend and sorry I am a little late getting over to say hello. Best wishes for good health, happiness and prosperity.

  20. Penny, these birds of paradise are definitely an unusual looking flower, aren't they? But they are pretty to me, and I used them on my post because they look like a person's profile hehehe. I've seen them alot in So Cal. and these pics were actually taken on Thanksgiving about three years ago in So. Cal. I'm sure you've seen them a lot there. My nephew just moved to San Diego, and it gives me a chance to visit So Cal again.

love when you visit, Penny, and your sweet comments. I hope the new year is being good to you so far.

    love, ~Sheri
