Victorian inspired doll for the New Year

It is so good to be back.. A heartfelt thank you for all your visits and kind thoughts.. I hope the New Year has brought joy to all.
A little out of the box for me...  Inspired by the image on my antique chair..
. I was sitting on the couch, trying to think of something different to needle felt..  It was right in front of me on the chair. Image of a man and women, so inspiring. I fashioned her a little purse from glass beads and wire.... She stands 6 3/4" tall.

Hope you enjoy viewing.

  7. Your doll has hit home for me today, Penny, as I have always loved the Victorian era. The women back then dressed so elegantly. I like how her hair swoops up, and her beaded purse is so special. She is just lovely. What will you call her? It is always like a ray of sunshine coming over here and seeing your sweet creations.

    Love,

  14. Oh my Goodness, I just got here. She is lovely! I never saw needle sculpted "people" before. But this sweet, delicate lady is soft and feminine with perfectly coiffed Victorian hair and her stance is so lady-like. Another marvelous creation from our Penny!

  17. Ahhhhh.....there she is! The doll that inspired a little dark-haired girl to be born....

My dear, dear friend, THANK YOU for always being there. Your visit tonight is such a joy! Well, I am not fabricating any paper dresses....that is behind me unless someone commissioned me at a descent price to make one, but that isn't going to happen too soon! No, I'm taking to the pen, and that suits me just fine. But anything beautiful makes me smile, but now after that quote, "Look for beauty where it is not supposed to be found", I suspect my inspiration source will be filled to the brim as I use this year to look for more beauty than meets just the eye.

I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE THE LITTLE MISS in a red beret! LOVE, Anita
