Mother Goose WIP needle felted with a gift from the heart

She is quite large as you can see by my hand.. I think I got carried away..   She is still a work in progress, need to finish her feet and wings... Not sure about her beak.   I am thinking it may be a bit long.
.
With some of my wool sculptures I build a wire armature wound with yarn.. Not all, but some.. She is on of them.  This way she can pose .

Mother Goose was needle felted  with 100 % Natural wool gifted to me by dear
Dore of Burlap Luxe..  Please take a moment to visit her beautiful shop.  She is an amazing artist in several mediums and turns furniture into pieces of art..  I am blessed to call her my friend.  I believe Dore's shop is a true reflection of her soul..  Calm, soothing,  peaceful,  and full of beauty.

Can you believe it?  Look at this georgeous wool. It is heaven to work with..

Well, what can I say except the needles are flying...  Thank you from the bottom of my heart  Dore...

This owl below ( Pumpkin) was also created with my gifted wool, and
dear Anita of Castles Crowns and Cottages purchased it as soon as I put it in my Etsy shop!  What a sweetheart! Thank you dearest Anita!  Please take a moment to visit Anita's  Etsy shop.. She has added some of the most darling creations!  Anita is also a very talented artist.. Her paper sculptures take my breath away..  Most of all,  she is what you see.  A beautiful, kind hearted, sensitive soul  that has come into my life and is a true friend.

Pumpkin is 4 inches tall and will fly home tomorrow.

I have one owl left in my Etsy shop pictured below.
He is 3 inches tall.
This one is 3" Tall.

Thank you all for taking time to drop in for a visit..  I wish to thank everyone for your very kind thoughts and always here to cheer me on.. You have no idea how much your words touch my heart.

Update on Mother Goose
I finished her wings and feet yesterday.. She is all ready to take flight.

But not without her bonnet and shawl.... I fashioned them from grey felt
and cotton lace..  She can wear them when needed.

Thank you so much for visiting.. I hope you enjoyed.
Love and blessings,
Penny

  13. Thank you all so very much for your kind and encouraging words.. Your visits warm my heart.

Please know that if I do not reply on your blog it is because you have ~ word verification and I cannot read the letters.. Even when I think I have it right, it does not go through.. So for those of you that do have it, I will thank you here.

Dear Heidi.. I don't remember you having word verification until now...

Thank you so much for coming over to see Mother goose and my owl.

I love the photos of Mr. M. You are such a good mom, and he is such a doll.
Wishing you and your sweet little M a wonderful day.

  14. Dear Penny,

I adore your latest creations, the sweet owl that Anita bought is just darling.
Mother Goose is precious also, dressed in her cute hat and shawl.
Why is it that the word verification is so hard to decipher - I have to try about three times on some of them.
Do hope that you have a lovely week

    Hugs

  17. PENNY!! How did I miss this Goosey Lady?? She is soooooo wonderful, but you know how I feel about geese, don't you. I makes me wonder if you would consider making a Fionna with a humped bill and a bonnet someday. I have a funny story to tell you about my little woolen Eloise and Jemima. 25. Penny,
Your Mother Goose touches my heart, as I used to read Mother Goose books to the kids. She is so sweet and soft, and her bonnet adds a special touch. The owl is precious. I can see why Anita bought her right away. These are truly wonderful creations made by you with love. I want to browse through your etsy shop now.

  26. Precious one,

I no longer have to wish upon a star when I come to this post...these two are sitting here with me and bring a HUGE smile to my face! YEAH!!!!!!!

Thank you for noticing BOO and his friends on my post....I am a bit shy (WHO, ME?????) about promoting myself..that is probably one of my problems!!!!

I just got settled in from having gone to pick up the Mister from work. I was thinking of you and the recent work you shared with me this morning....oh how I LOVE THEM...I will go to email. Anita

  27. Dearest Penny,
A penny for your thoughts :)
For you are someone to love, your Pumpkin owl is divine and feathers of wool so soft. I too have this fondness for owls as Hannah finds them to be one so mysterious, and she felling in love with all you create, she calls you the Beatrix Potter of wool.

Your Mother goose is a pretty as she can be, and her beak she wears well in front of her beautiful face. I am happy to see she has her feet to waddle about, and a bonnet and cape so fitting for her journey.

For you to mention me is grand,(Tear, tear, tears) that you would feel as if I too am added to your friendship list as a true friend, I feel the same for you.
Your art tugged at my heart this way, and that way with fond memories of collecting and sharing little creatures with new born life in our family and giftings to friends.
I am so honored that you have replaced the memory of little lamb that we have yet to find. Hannah is delighted to care for your gifted JOY! to us and her wool has made a full circle back to us.

We will care and love "Joy" for Joy was a perfect name, it brought us joy that Hannahs lost lamb has come home.

    Thank you Penny beyond words.
I also read your email, and treasure your beautiful words.

Lots of blessings to your giving heart.

    Blessings...
    to the hands that create.
    xoxo

  29. Hi Penny!

Happy October! The wee owl that Anita purchased is perfect for the season and her home. I would love to have a little extra cash to buy up these wonderful creations you make but the piggy bank is low right now.

Mother Goose warms my heart, in memory of my own mom Mother Goose. Dore's gift to you was so beautiful. She gave you something to create with and look what came from it!

Life is good for all of us when we can travel from the woods of Nowhere to the land of Mother Goose. It is in these magical places that moments are treasured and we become one, no matter how far the distance.

I am fine, almost wonderful...I'm working on it. I adore my new position working with the seniors. Success for me is getting another senior to an event and seeing them happy. Today, we are celebrating women in motion with a special events just for the ladies. It's called The Purple Hat Society, a spin off on the Red Hat Society but this one supports senior women and their self esteem. At what point do we become a senior? Whenever we want to! It's not a bad thing but a glorious thing...

    Loving you from a distance...Jacqueline

I had added your pretty little shop to my sidebar and want to make sure. LOVED seeing the button waving hello right above "ANGELS THAT BRIGHTEN MY DAY." :) Perfect!!
You always brighten my day, love.

Happy weekend Penny. Len is working all weekends so I am on my own. Being an only child, that sounds like bliss, playtime to do what I want.
