Hi Penny, I love little birds. I used to have a blue parakeet that would sit on my glasses, yes while I was wearing them, and pull on my hair.
ReplyDeleteIt has been rather hot hasn't it? Thanks for visiting with me and stay cool.
xo, Bonnie
So GOOD to see you here Bonnie.. ahhhh, that is so sweet. How funny! I can just imagine.. When I was a child, my father had a little parakeet that used to ride on the train that went around our Christmas tree..

Penny

Hi Penny,

Happy day!
Heidi
Hello dear friend! I mean, tweet tweet! :)) (I copy dear Anita...sorry!) :)
ReplyDeleteThey are adorable, Penny!
I love how the little one is looking inquisitively over to the big birdie...or perhaps expectantly? In either case, they are so darling. It's wonderful that you are able to create after the full day of working on your kitchen...
Take care, beautiful friend...sending a cool breeze and lots of love!
Hugs,
- Irina
"Sing for again, big bird," said the little BIG-eyed bird....."BON!" said the larger bird......".....qu'il le faut manger, tout chaud...."
ReplyDeleteOh Penny, I MISS US in Nowhere....could you imagine the sweetness with all of your creations and our ideas? Hearing this sweet music and seeing your creations makes me want to pursue the adventure of movie making. After this week's visit, I will be working more on the project with Irina....WHERE IS BEBE??????
Be well my dear. I will check my emails....Anita
Oh the places we would go, the places we could see if we could just fly away where the air is cooler!
ReplyDeletePenny, my mom and I would sit on the front porch when I lived at Once Upon a Fairyland. The woods were plum full of birds. My mom would talk to them and they were so cute the way they would cock their little heads and listen to her.
We would sit and talk about where the bird had been and mom would tell me stories. She loved hummingbirds and robins. Old crows were like a bee in her bonnet and she would scold them to flee. I can still see her saving little hummingbirds that would hit our window...oh, the stories I could tell. They flew in our house, she nursed them back to health in her old slippers, she was known to softly pat their little chest to keep their heart beating and she even took a soft hair dryer to one. Memories...your little ones are sure to make someone so very very happy.
O gosh Penny, at first glance thought the birds were real. Wonderful job you did on them, they are so sweet. Hugs, Lu

I know it has taken me a long time to get to the finish line with my kitchen, but at 63 I need to pace myself.. Cannot put in a full days work.. Just a little at a time... I think I may finish the cabinets today.. ABOUT TIME! Then I am going to tackle the backsplash..
Have a wonderful weekend.
Blessings,
Penny

ReplyDeletePenny first of all your visit and... "Your choice of words is happiness to my heart today." if I may quote you in your comment to me :)
The little peeps are the sweetest, making me wish we were coming upon Easter instead of Christmas, I would want to add one to a basket of my sweet Hannah's (daughter) who loves your sweet little ones when I make her come to the computer to see. You see when I am excited to see your work I yell out come Hannah you have to see Penny's creations :)
Keep inspiring your beauty dear one, and yes I wish to be your neighbor sharing our art in playful paint and wool :)

Genie
So cute! Tiny fluffy birdies ^_^
ReplyDeleteAnd thank YOU for coming by my post sweet one! I thought of you ALL DAY YESTERDAY as we took a trip to Stillwater. We sat and had lunch and I had a bag of the most DELICIOUS and BIGGEST green grapes to date. YOU were in my mind for every bite. Ruben is not as huge of a fan of grapes as I am, but this time, he kept snatching the biggest ones out of the bag that required you take THREE BITES! These things were almost as big as apricots!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMUCH LOVE TO YOU DEAREST! Anita
More of your felties? These are just precious!
ReplyDeleteI adore your little needle felted creatures...you have a special touch! :)
