Greta, her cat and goodies from the past

I have been busy with projects in and out of the house lately and have not been very creative.. I thought it would be fun to share Greta with you... She found a home a few years ago.. Greta and kitty were sculpted with a mix of polymer clays.. I fashioned her costume from an old black vintage dress.. I really enjoyed making her little shoes and all the accessories. I remember my sister telling me that Greta looked like me as a child. Oh my...

Time is passing so fast lately... Remember to take time to stop and smell the roses,
listen to the birds and watch the bunnies!

Thank you for your visits, your time and your beautiful hearts!

Blessings,

Penny

  1. PENNY!!! OH NO....I CAN'T BELIEVE YOUR TALENTS! I was on blog watch yesterday, and saw NO NEW posts from you! Look at Greta and her kitty! Well, she is quite the little sorceress and is so darling! Tea Rat was a bit confused, that cheeky fellow, wondering why GRETTA from Nowhere was dressed like a doll...he was wondering, what in the SAM HILL? But now he sees through those beady eyes of his that this is a totally different Greta! He is on the drawing table...today is STAY IN THE BASEMENT DAY FOR ME, where my drawing table is. Oh, I love your philosphy...LISTEN TO THE BIRDS and WATCH THE BUNNIES! WE have a new rabbit that is hanging around here; he looks rather SEASONED..he is fat and gray around the jowls and likes to sleep in the sun. Hmmmmm...not a bad idea!

    BACK LATER, Anita

  13. Does Gretta have a spell to conjure tea and tea-cake with enough butter that it runs down your paws? Well, if not, she's welcome to Witsend any time where tea and tea-cakes are always stocked aplenty for our friends.

    Signed Polyglot

Tea Rat: Cut that out you crazy bird.

  16. Ha...I loved reading Anita's comment on Gretta in Nowhere dressed like a doll. She'd never fit into the dress she's such a round stuffed hedgehog.

Gretta's rule, no matter if it's one "t" or two "tt's" they rule!

I have missed my visits to you because of playing in Once Upon a Fairyland. Opening the store has been such a wonderful adventure. A male customer said...this is the cutest little doll house shop I've ever seen! His wife yelled down to him, I'm up in the doll house!

Love sent to you my friend and a prayer for a peaceful weekend.

  17. PENNY!!! HOW IS THE BATHROOM GOING? You made it my way today...what a total angel and friend you are. YOU ARE IN THE POT for the draw of the BLUE BIRDIE WAND!!! Oh, I had such fun today creating a miniature one, but WOW, it is hard to work on that scale. I ADMIRE THE DEXTERITY of your hands when you fashion your mice! NO WONDER you are the MICE MEISTER!!

LOTS OF LOVE TO YOU, Anita

  25. Thanks for visiting my blog and for your kind words.

It is not always possible to be creative all the time, life sometimes gets in the way. Thanks for showing us your Greta, so interesting that she looked like you. i think all artist's do that unconsciously, create faces in their own image. This is said to be because we are more familiar with our own faces.
