In the Garden Roses and Lavender

Spanish Lavender  ( Anouk )  Planted last year
I read something very interesting about Bee's that I was not aware of.
This is what I read while researching when to harvest the lavender.

Watch the Bee's. If they just flit from bloom to bloom it is read to harvest.  If they stay awhile on each bloom it is not time yet..   I am sure some of you already know this,  but I had no idea.

This is the first year we have had more than just  a few bee's.  They have been absent for quite some time.
I also realized that while pulling weeds around the lavender they were content to stay put and not bother me.

Planting my French Lavender along the white stone path 3 in 3 to go

All in.   I hope they make it.

Ok. Here is one for you.  Does anyone know what type of wild flower this is?
It comes back every spring.. They leaves look like a clover, but have 6 petals.  As you can see it is growing in between all my other plants.  This is located in the back yard against the house.  I think it is beautiful so I am going to just leave it alone.

After all,  a weed is but an unloved flower.

A welcome visitor in the back yard

This is what my poor rose bushes looked like  on March 12th . Very sparse on the leaves and just a few blooms.

The bush itself has never looked like this,  even when not in bloom. I really thought I was going to lose my roses.  It looked terrible.

One month later.   On   4-7   after using  ~Grow Big ~.   This stuff really works!

Then I used ~Big Bloom

This is my English Rose  Winchester Cathedral ..( white one lower front. ).  In  a two foot space I counted over 100 BUDS,  not including the roses that are open.  This is one of my favorites.. The fragrance that floats through the air is breathtaking..

Photo taken last week

There are 4 Iceberg climbers growing up the posts, and my 5 English rose are down in  front of the climbers.
Soon they should all be blooming. Buds galore !.

Photo taken yesterday
Will you look at all the blooms!

Lily in her Beatrix Potter romper at Easter, holding her little bunny I made her. The dress that bunny is wearing was Brittany's baby dress.

I have been off  the computer for much too long.. My daughter had been in the hospital for surgery on her leg and had a long recovery. I have been traveling back and fourth to see her.  She is home now and is doing so much better.  An Easter blessing.  So good to be back.
Thank you for leaving such kind notes for me.
blessings,
Penny
