I thought this would be a good choice for Halloween. It was a challenge, but I am satisfied.
I miss all the little ones in their costumes this time of year. I can remember when I was a child, mom would hand us a pillow case and off we went to trick or treat! Yes, a pillow case. Can you imagine?
I remember one lady that would hand out pomegranate's .... That was my favorite treat.
Blessings to all

You are such a talented artist, Penny. There's so much detail in this drawing. Her face looks so real. I miss the little ones in their costumes too. And Yes, I remember the pillow cases, isn't that funny? I remember Nel carrying around a black one one year. Can you imagine the lady passing out all those pomegranates to the kids? What a treat that would be.
ReplyDeleteWishing you wonderful November days, Penny.

PENNY! Good morning my dear friend! First of all, I remember the pillow cases for collecting candy! My parents didn't let me go out since I lived in a dangerous neighborhood but I do remember making popcorn balls with my mom to pass out to the kids that did come to our door with their pillow cases! And now....this illustration is absolutely stunning. Her eyes and mouth as PERFECTION and the theme is spot on. You must be proud and satisfied with this. Her proportions are so good dear friend!
ReplyDeleteWowwww…this is so good !…lovely week…happy Halloween 🍀🎃🍀

ReplyDeleteThe pillow cases tradition is new to me. Makes me smile thinking about little ones carrying pillowcases to hopefully be filled with treats. So cute!
