Good evening sweet friend. Faith - Fides....when you think of it, aren't we all rich beyond measure, if we have faith? We have a bank of hope and beyond that, the immeasurable joy of receiving the greatest gift of all:eternal joy and love. Your dear Fides is a work of faith and hope that one day, we shall see the messengers that they are to us. Helpers, support, encouragement....angels of mercy. My friend, your work always speaks to me in these quiet moments like tonight. I am sitting here with my Christmas lights on, in my comfortable room with the fireplace, and I am in awe of your work. Your hours of dedication show in each carefully marked feather of her wings and her gentle smile. I sure would love to watch you do this...
ReplyDeleteThank you for this beautiful introduction to your readers. I will never, ever forget the laughter and the fun in Nowhere, the support on both of our blogs, OLD ORANGE at Rutabagas, and your art. What a gift this life is.
YOU HAVE FINISHED, AND SHE IS FABULOUS!
Oh Penny, your words touch MY heart! I am always impressed by how art or writing extends us. What would we do if we never had an outlet for self-expression! This is what the world needs more of, TIME to invent and build that which is good and lovely, to share it with one another, as YOU do always, with us.
ReplyDeleteShe is so gorgeous and would look amazing in a beautiful garden porch or above a fireplace mantle. OH YES! That is a great place for her!
Much love to you dear one. I am so sleepy. I think I will post and just go to sleep.
BISOUS et bonne nuit!
Castles, Crowns and Cottages' comment is so well worded, and indeed echoes my own sentiments. A heartfelt thanks to you and for sharing your lovely posts, you really know how to brighten one's day...God bless you.
ReplyDeleteDear Penny,

Penny,
ReplyDeleteI'm taken by the beauty you have created in Fides. Faith which guides us towards peace is my dream as I know it is yours. Your talents are never ending, be it painting, clay relief, writing or creating wool needle felted adorable creatures for us to love. In the time I've had the opportunity to exchange emails with you I feel privileged to have learned how much you care and see the love that goes into your art. I wish you joy this Christmas season and throughout the New Year.
xoxo,
Vera
Your angels relief is a beautiful work of art, so serene and it speaks for itself, at least she does for me.
ReplyDeleteThank you for these kind words and wishes, I wish for you the same, Penny......(forgive me for using your own words, but you already do know that I'm struggling with the English language, when it comes to translate feelings that's why I write 'the same' to you).
Blessings and hugs, Ilona
GOod morning faithful and fabulous friend!
ReplyDeleteI will be BACK but I wanted to say thank you before I left for school, for coming to my production. It was SO FUN to unwrap these gifts of comments this morning as well as go to see the other bloggers who have blown my mind. Oh the FUNNNNNNNNNNNNNN! LET'S NEVER STOP CREATING! Thank you dear heart for your loving words and presence in this fun and wild place called Blogland. I WILL BE BACK! Anita
Oh Penny, Fides is exquisite! Such beautiful work and heart-felt sentiment!!! Peace and Harmony
ReplyDeleteKathryn XX
Truly BEAUTIFUL!
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous creation,
an A N G E L at Christmastime.....
so lovingly fashioned
by your hands
and heart.
Thank you for visiting my mouse theatre!
I must admit, although I have done some felting,
(which makes me appreciate even more your creations!) I found the 3 felted creatures at a shop,
Christmas ornaments! But I did make their costumes,
and fashioned Vincent van Fox's palette, beret, and paintbrushes. Isn't he quite the artist? But alas,
always scowling!
Have a blessed Christmas Penny.
We got some sad news a few days ago about our
youngest dog who is 8. Out of the blue, quite a shock.
A diagnosis of Lymphoma, not long to live, and my
heart is broken. She appears so healthy, but inside....
So I am trying to prepare for the goodbye to this dear Afghan Hound that I love so much.
Working on my theatre presentation helped me focus on something else this week.
I know you understand this great love we have
for our furry friends.
xoxo
Violet
Merci, dear friends, for your heartfelt words..
ReplyDeleteI so enjoyed the Theatre productions of Anita, Violet, Dore, Vera and Lin... Such an amazing group of talented woman, dreamers of magic!
Oh Penny dear she is glorious and right on time for the holidays. Her raised wings standout in glory.
ReplyDeleteI know she will sell very fast. Thank you for taking the time to visit all our theatre productions, you so need to create one of your own so you can jump in next year with a production we will adore seeing.
I retired Hannah grey mouse you created for us, and lent way for sweet beautiful Vera to take center stage with your wonderful creations in her mice. Did you not love her gypsy vest she made for them? Your mice have become her new children and family.
I love that Vera has a mouse or mice thing like we do over here, and I love that you create such creatures of wonderments.
See you soon, what are your holiday plans, please share in a post.
Xoxo

ReplyDeleteHello Penny, thank you so much for your Thanksgiving wishes! I hope you are well and survived the deluge last week! Unfortunately, I developed a leak in my roof and my bedroom ceiling came crashing down partially on me at 5 in the morning! My brother is coming in to help me with everything thank goodness.
ReplyDeletexoxo, Bonnie
PS - I think your angel is beautiful.
