When the sun comes up
I take off like the wind
To see what shiny things
This Fall day brings
A little bobble here
A silver chain there
A crown fit for a king
Even ankle rings
When the day is done
And the sun goes down
You will find me right here
Wearing my crown.

Some may call me a jewel thief, I would disagree.
I love the hunt, who knows what you will find.
Just look at the collar I came across.
I love this chain. The stones are black.
I believe my favorite find it the crown.
See you soon..
I have needle felted Cosmo over a wire armature... His claws are wrapped in black cotton.
He has black glass eyes.
I really enjoyed working on Cosmo... I hope you enjoyed viewing.

Penny, Penny, Penny ... OH MY GOSH, from the poem to the design made with TLC I am in love. A Raven I adore.
ReplyDeleteSimply amazing, a delight, a must have...

IT'S COSMO!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Penny White, you have struck at the BOO HOUR! This black beauty is going to make someone very happy (not scared) but SO HAPPY. He's quite the "magpie" since he loves baubles...and that crown, so perfect for the beautiful black crow/raven that he is. This is exciting...I'm watching a special on penquins and I was just thinking, "I wonder if Penny could make a penguin." I know you could.
ReplyDeleteLOVE COSMO!
Dear Penny,
ReplyDeleteThe Raven is amazing and has scored a nice lot of loot with the crown and jewels. Love the poem and the music.
You are so very talented sweet friend.
Sending hugs and hope you are enjoying the week
Carolyn
Oh Penny, I am here again this cold, creepy but beautiful morning to see Cosmo adorned with his crown, his BRACELETS ( I had missed that detail last night) and his other jewels. The music only works on my end the second time that I come, and now I can hear it and it is perfect for this beautiful bird of intrigue!
ReplyDeleteCosmo is such a delight, and you again have brought us to the edge of this world to stand on the cliffs of the imagination. THANK YOU for that....we need that in this wild world. MUCH LOVE!
Oh Penny dearest - I can certainly see how you are staying out of trouble. Cosmo is awesome and of course he is not a thief - he just borrows things I am sure. Someone will be sure to snatch him up quickly! Hugs
ReplyDeletePenny, you just make me smile every time I visit. Cosmo is so classy looking, and Yes, I think that crown adds something so very special. The music and the poem is delightful. I can't tell what that is around his legs, but it sure is pretty. Thank you for giving us a little magic when you introduced Cosmo today.
ReplyDeletelove,
~Sheri
Thank you dear friends, for your very kind words.

Cosmo is FABULOUS, Penny! I have "Sparkly Crow Syndrome", most definitely!

This raven really looks like a magic bird - someone, who whispers spells in your ear ;) He's beautiful Penny, so well done! Happy weekend to you!
ReplyDeleteOh isn't COSMO quite fabulous!?!?! Love the crown, the baubles, the sparkle of Cosmo's (and your) world!!!

Bonjour sweet Penny I return to once again enjoy your poetry and your latest artistic expression. Cosmo speaks to me ... oh Penny you delight my heart.
ReplyDeleteI love crows as long as they stay away from my chicks! But I'm pretty sure Cosmo wouldn't have the least interest in baby chicks, he has more expensive taste!
ReplyDeleteDear Penny,
ReplyDeleteLovely to come back and see Cosmo again and hear the beautiful music. Thank you dear friend for the kind visit to my blog. Have a happy new week
hugs
Carolyn
You put such personality in everything you create Penny. Cosmo looks like he really will start talking any second. I love everything you make. I know it all comes from your heart and soul.

I have missed seeing you here, Edie Marie.
DeleteI will be right over... Thank you so much!
He is just darling :) and I loved the poem-Perfect.I don't really know the difference between crows and ravens but if ravens are anything like crows I would get a kick out of them too.I think crows are just so funny. hugs Denise
ReplyDeleteHi Denise,
DeleteNot much difference... Ravens are larger than the crow and make a different sound.
So nice to see you here.. Thank you so much!
Hi little Cosmo, you are welcome to come and live at my house.
ReplyDeleteLove him Penny, you do beautiful work.
Hope your long weekend is lovely.

Don't forget to wear your costume.
Oh Penny!
ReplyDeleteWhat can I say about Cosmo? He is fabulous, fabulous!!
So cool, and I love that he has been tagged with an ankle bracelet. His crown divinely worn and the chain of beauty a perfect find. I often use chains in my art hanging from this or that, I love the mystery in Cosmo.
This is a piece meant for Vera's post with Edgar Allan Poe, and such a piece to greet Halloween!
I really think Cosmo is quite dapper, and really a wonderful piece of art, you really have taken your wool to another whole level of interest. A wonderful story this Black Crow will tell.
Xoxo
Dore
