Please meet Bernard the little brown bear

Please meet Bernard..  A friendly little brown bear...
He was a long time in the making, and is ready to go off on his own..
Bernard was needle felted over a wire armature... He has hand painted brown glass eyes and wire claws.. He sits 8 inches tall..  His core was firmly needle felted.. Second coat was felted in and scissor cut.  I hope you enjoy viewing. Thank you so much for coming over to meet him.
I really enjoyed creating him.

We thank you for your visit.
blessings,
Penny

  3. Now THIS, is the way to start a Monday, no matter WHO YOU ARE...oh GEEZ, Penny, I swear....you are a fairy. You have to be? YOU ARE!

Look at that face. He is looking into the camera and posing and he knows he is REAL! Bernardo is going to be waving , BYE-BYE real soon. He is too cute to stay here long! I so love how you make the claws with wire. Tea Rat's claws come in handy to hold things!!!!!!

Well done my friend. His fuzzy fur is excellently made, and those eyes are so deep and sweet. LOVE HIM!

  5. Oh Penny, Bernard melted my heart. My mom used to collect teddy bears and when she passed away, we were each given one of her bears. So you see, bears have a special meaning to me. He is just delightful. I love everything about him, especially that nose. You did a wonderful job creating him.

    Have a happy week.

    love,

  14. Oh Bernardo! I mean Bernard.. You are a jolly good fellow indeed, and would be most welcome to come to our annual hoedown in the woods, where all the bear-folk gather for cider, pie and dancing all through the night! I could set you up with a blind date too, there are many lovely bear gals in our neck of the woods. Sincerely, Mamsey Bear
Penny, his face is great! and those claws, what a pile of work that must have been to make each one. He is special with that sweet innocence and soft eyes, not easy to accomplish I have found! Love ya, Jeri
