Hello dear friends... I had a ball creating this little one... The skates were a bit of a challenge, but I did it! She is needle felted with fine wool fibers, as are her skates... I have inserted a metal piece for her blades and added pink faux pearls for buttons. Her hat and bag are also handmade.. She can be displayed with or without all her accessories... I wired her little scarf.. I wanted it to look as if it were blowing in the wind..

I wanted to tell you I was looking through the online Anthropologie catalog and noticed a few felted creatures of fun.... You must see the felted finger puppets, perhaps they would inspire you to create some as well.
When my Hannah was little I would buy finger puppets often and that she is in college you would think that she would be done with them? Often she takes them out to admire and reflect on the fun she had with them, there is something so intriguing about finger puppets.

ReplyDeleteHow did I miss this sweet, petite mademoiselle on ice? She is light and graceful as a feather with her ever so teeny toes snuggled in those woolen ice skates with the sharpest of the sharp blades. Best beware of that Rattus though, we hear he is a bit of a Mousanizer!
