Please meet grandpa rabbit... When you live in a cabbage patch you begin to look like one.. He has family and friends living in the same patch, and they will be coming out from now till easter to meet you.
This little fellow was lovingly hand sculpted from fimo polymer clay... heat set paints were used for his details.. He has inset glass bead eyes, merino wool has been hand applied tiny pieces at a time for his rabbit fur... The cabbage leaves he wears are material and are not removable.I have made grandpa a set of glasses out of wire.. They are removable if you wish to do so.He measure 4" tall seated...
His book is handmade, titled ~ How to grow carrots and keep your friends~
You will find him hanging out in my Etsy store.

ReplyDeleteOh what a lovely surprise to see Grandpa Bunny. He is absolutely precious from his rabbit ears to his little thumping feet. Love the face, especially his little glasses. Straight from the cabbage patch. You are so talented sweet friend.
Sorry I haven't been blogging much of late. I got sick before Christmas and just now starting to bounce back. Another really bad run of bronchitis. They were watching me closely, as they were positive at one point that it had turned to pneumonia again.
I wish you lived closer and could pop by for a cup of tea with fresh lemon and maybe a slice of lemon pie or lemon bars? We could visit for hours. I have missed you too dear friend. I will be more regular now that I am feeling better.
Have a glorious week. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

Good morning most precious Penny!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that you find beauty coming to my space; that is all I want it to be, a place where passer-bys can stop and breathe for a moment. AND THIS RABBIT IS DYNAMITE! Oh, I better get on the stick and make more bunnies!!! But Easter isn't until April, BUT, spring is coming and that is always a season and a reason to make bunnies!!!!
LOVE YOU DEAREST! Anita
Oh I adore you little guy!!! He is adorable! Happy mid week to you my friend. xoxoox Love your playlist today.
ReplyDeleteDear Grandpa,
ReplyDeleteThere is much widom found in a cabbage patch and you are the grand-daddy of all wisdom. Can a grandpa rabbit rate up there with cute? Yes! You are the cutest grandpa rabbit I have ever seen and I can't wait to meet your friends and family at Easter time. Such joy in the cabbage patch!
Thank you Penny for your sweet and kind heart to me in the loss of my best friend. Goodness, who would ever think that would happen. It was a paw in the mouth moment for me. But a bigger paw in the mouth moment for her. She left me a voice mail by accident and it recorded a conversation between her and her husband on what they thought of me....so sad, so hurt but when you have friends like Penny and Anita...the cabbage patch is sweet and smells like roses. Cabbage patch roses!
Love Jacqueline and Gretta
Oh Penny dearest....
