Bebe's Adventures in the Hollow

Please follow Bebe to the Hollow to visit Dimity Doormouse... . I know you will love Dimity as much as Bebe does. She has brought a few things with her that may come in handy.. A broom to sweep the burrow floor if needed, and garden tools and basket so they can plant some seeds.. Dimity has been so kind as to fix up a suite at the top of the burrow, just for Bebe! There are so many wonderful critters in the Hollow, it is truly a magical place.. Oh the fun of it all !

On my way to the Hollow

To meet a friend of mine

Her name is Dimity Doormouse

She writes me all the time

There are many here

That speak of where

This little mouse lives

Tucked away in her burrow

She enjoys all that life gives

Love,

Bebe

If you care to visit Bebe's auction on Ebay you will find her here

Thank you so much for your visit.. See you in the Hollow Tell the Mistress of the Manor that Bebe sent you. Jeri Landers is the creator of Dimity Doormouse and an amazing writer and illustrator..You will love her, she is a real peach!

Ria, the illustrations with the mice are the work of Author/Illustrator Jeri Landers of Hopalong Hollow.. Are they magnificent or what! I am sure that is what you are refering to. She is an amazing artist. Thank you for your kind words.

  12. Sweet friend,

I was gone all day and night yesterday and missed the heck out of you and BEBE!!!! I SO LOVE THE SOUND OF THE BIRDS HERE MY FRIEND! Oh Penny, last night at the writers' guild, it was so intimidating! But there is more to see and learn and more people to meet. It was our first time and actually for both Ruben and I who are teachers and who are used to STRUCTURE and a plan, the unstructured feel to the evening was a little discouraging and there was some snobbery going on...but there are OTHER gatherings and classes and I want to get down to business. Last night was more of an OPEN DISCUSSION and a sharing time of work and I got some feedback on my BALZAC story. I was told to change the title, which I always thought I should, and I felt so juvenile in the midst of serious writers. BUT I will learn and I must follow my purpose to write and that is to inspire and entertain. I am not and never will be a novelist...and I found out yesterday that I will be sharing in the task of translating our science curriculum. I am not happy about that!

OH DEAR...I must hush. I want to just take in what I can of the sweetness of summer with BEBE and FRIENDS LIKE YOU!!!! Anita

  17. Oh my sweet friend,

I just came home to where I love and live and found your precious comment on my blog. I spent my first day at the workshop in a cold hotel conference room and whenever we had a break, I whipped out my copy of Ted Kooser's Manuel of Poetry Writing! I am in VACATION MODE but I am listening carefully and hope to be ready with the new information come September. AHhhh...the sound of the birds here with Bebe make me happy. I took the cutest picture of a rabbit in my yard; I will send it to you later. Have a fabulous evening and BEBE..has she learned to wrangle the goats yet? teeeheee

  20. Penny, the last I caught a glimpse of Bebe, she was gliding across the pond atop the head of a goosie. I think she is a true country gal at heart, she has taken quite a liking to shucking corn, picking raspberries and betting on crawdad races... did you know about this gambling streak? She must have picked it up while in Monte Carlo. The little gals have promised to finish my embroidery tomorrow as my poor old fingers simply cannot accomplish such delicate stitches as little mice can. Bebe has been entertaining the baby chicks with tales of her high adventures and I am afraid some of them are getting IDEAS. Don't be surprised if you find a fuzzy yellow chick stowaway in her travel trunk!

  21. Then the fuzzy little chick can just come on with her to Grammy's House;))
So, yes my dear, keep me posted when she is back on the market and my fingers are crossed on hop along;)). Love. Love. Love. Them!
Thank you for visiting and all your kind words....and pearls of wisdom on moving fatigue...we still have more to do, but the rains came today, so we're enjoying tea and cookies and coziness:))
    Hugs,dearest!

  29. DANG! Penny, I lost BEBE! I did bid on her, and was going to bid again at last minute, but couldn't get an internet connection in our hotel room. (We are in Nashville doing a show) I am sitting here, outside a MacDonalds typing this, Saturday morning. Oh well, I see she is going to a good home anyway.
Well, she flew off this morning via the Crow-Chum Express, flight 002. We will miss her cute little pink face, but she was a most delightful visitor and helped out immensely with all the goings on in the Hollow. Thank you little BEBE, Please come again!
