Bebe's Adventures in France Haute Couture

Bebe has arrived in the South of France. Here she will stay at a sweet little cottage and work on her designs. As you can see she has brought her best pair of pinking shears and has a French vintage dress form to work on.. She was so excited about designing that I wrote a little poem on her behalf. Thank you for the nudge Anita! With the exception of the pinking shears, everything was handmade by me.. The set was such a joy to work on.. I hope find it pleasing.

If you care to visit Bebe's auction on Ebay you may find her here . She is 2 1/2" tall..

Haute Couture is my desire

Like all those that I admire

I must start somewhere

However so small

You never know

One day they may call

Until then I will take needle and thread

And create a design that will turn their heads.

Love,

Bebe

  14. Bebe is the Mistress of the NEEDLE, and makes stitches as small as the little mice that sewed the Mayors satin waistcoat in "The Tailor of Gloucester"! How nice it would be to have her tiny stitches on a quilt!

PS> Dimity would be pleased and honored to have a visit from Bebe, she will prepare her most cozy bedroom suite in the top chamber of her burrow.

  15. Hi Jeri
I will let Bebe know of your kind words. Thank you so much.. She is working hard on her stitches as they still need a little work..

I will send a wire and let her know that she is ~all clear~ to visit Dimity at the Hollow.. How kind of Dimity to prepare a bedroom suite in the top chamber of her burrow.. Bebe will be most pleased!

  23. PRECIOUS ONES!!!! IT IS SATURDAY and school is officially OUT...but the bittersweet memories make teaching a honor. HARD, FRUSTRATING (not the children, but the system)and challenging, teaching IS like the dance. You just have to practice, practice and smile....

    Love to you all, Anita

  25. Dearest Bebe,

You have already succeeded in turning heads.

My dear friend Tea Rat is so enraptured by your beauty and grace that if he turns his head any more I am afraid it will fall off.

    Respectfully yours,
    Rattus Scribus
