Hello dear friends... First, I would like to thank everyone for leaving such sweet comment for Jaspers Birthday on my previous post..
This is my first needle felted baby goat... I have named her Abby...
I hope you enjoy viewing... She was firmly felted over a wire armature, with a second coat needle felted and scissor sculpted... She has black glass bead eyes.. She is available on Ebay if you wish to visit her auction.
I hope everyone is having a beautiful weekend..
See you soon.... Thank you so much for visiting!
Abby is so cute !!...love her......enjoy summer darling...love Ria..x !
ReplyDeleteUh oh......Tea Rat has a love-jones you know, for GOATS! He enjoys Chèvre cheese and the fine company of these critters!!!!!!
ReplyDeletePenny, the moment I opened up your page and scrolled down, my heart just skipped a beat! You do with art what poets do with language: you surprise. You always serve up what we are not expecting, except for this: YOU ALWAYS ENCHANT! Abby is absolutely perfect! She looks like one of the goats I encountered when I was in France, on the many farms. I LOVE HER! Thank you for this post today; I am missing the magic this summer of so many blogs, but you came and made my day my friend. Thank you, or rather, MERCI MILLE FOIS! Petite Abby, tu es trop mignone!!!!! Anita
Little Abby, do you scream? If you are not sure, go to You Tube and type in "Screaming Goats." Do you cry like them? teeeeheeee.....YOU ARE SO ADORABLE! Thank you Penny for coming by; yes, I'd love to be at that poolside myself! WHEW..I just finished a blog post and it's been weeks since I've done one!
ReplyDeleteI WILL BE BACK TOMORROW via email! Rattus is calling. Night night little Abby!
Oh Penny... your art from your unlimited imagination and heart, needle felted through your magical talented hands always blows me away. You created this precious goat Miss Abby, who is adorable and made her irresistible. I hope cute Abby isn't a fainting goat. There is a farm in Lancaster PA where fainting goats bring big crowds. Fainting doesn't hurt them, it's just that their muscles freeze and they collapse completely stiff when they feel panic.Anyhow your Abby is beyond adorable. You always amaze me with your talent.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Vera
Oh Penny, Abby is adorable, May daughter Hannah and I both have wanted to get a real goat to help in the yarded area of over growth, then we realize not only eating the over growth the roses and lavender as well.
ReplyDeleteWe would have to fence it in. I am sure you are letting little Abby fun freely about. Ringing her bell as a warning she is near by.
Penny, Abby is another farm animal creation to love, and boy will she be loved in the right hands.
Thank you my sweet friend for taking the time to visit me, your visit bring me joy, and your comments help quiet that voice in my head as to did I create a mess or something to treasure.
I have been painting these days, on furniture and on wood paneling for my art roses, and then trimming them off in garden salvage wood trim as a frame.
I see that our beautiful Anita has visited, she is a talent and a half as well, I adore out group of talented bloggers :)
Well my dear I am off to feed the Pia, dog and get a few things ready for tomorrow.
Keep inspiring your beauty and talents.
See you soon.
Xoxo

Oh Penny,
ReplyDeleteShe is adorable!!!
Awww Abby is just sooo sweet.....I just love her cute face....
ReplyDeleteSmiles~

Oh, she reminds me of my little Cecily Rose when she was a kiddle! Little hooves so delicate and all ears, very good Penny! Baby goats are able to leap WAY up from a standing still position when they are only days old. In fact, they don't really walk around or run around they simply LEAP around. And they make the cutest sound; while the adults say "MAAAAAAA" the babies say "Maaaaa- EEEEEE!", in tiny little voices. I love your little Abby.
ReplyDeleteShe is absolutely adorable and precious!!! I love her name, too! :)
ReplyDeleteDear Penny,
ReplyDeleteLittle Abby is such a darling - she has such a dear little face. Love the sweet bird song and babbling brook in the background.
Hope you are having a lovely weekend and many thanks for the kind visit to my blog.
Sending hugs
Carolyn

Oh Penny, I just woke up to find your comment (and Tea Rat is busy making you a birthday cake for Nowhere, so hang for a few hours!) and I see you visited my post.
ReplyDeleteMy friend, I am bummed out you will not be able to participate; I had a feeling this year wouldn't be like others, but of COURSE you can visit even if you can't participate! I thought I'd go ahead and do it because so many fond memories took over my sensibilities...but maybe that's all this is now, memories. Oh well, we'll see what kind of a turn out occurs, but for the few that may do it, it will be worth it.
I will be back via email in a few! LOVE! (Hello Abby!)
Bebe and I will be there Anita... Thank you for hosting another fantastic link party!
DeleteAnd thank you Tea Rat for the birthday cake .. Nowhere is such a magical place..

ReplyDeletePenny - what a lovely baby goat...I think if Abby doesn't find a home - there is something badly wrong. Besides she probably will not eat the flowers and the sofa and the chairs (lol)! Definitely my kind of goat for sure! Thanks too dear for stopping by to visit me and leave a wonderful comment. Have a wonderful day.

Penny,
ReplyDeleteThank you so very much for your comment you left visiting me. Your words of encouragement and appreciation of my art meant so much.
Next post will show our vintage cameras but at the end I plan a little tribute to my parents with a presentation in the Ballet theatre. I can not wait to spotlight your beautiful little dancers that you created and in felting them you made them magical and very meaningful.
I am appreciative for your friendship Penny. Have a wonderful weekend.
XO,
Vera
OH my!!! You are so talented! That is darling!
ReplyDeleteteeehee...little Abby, long gone, but so darling and in my heart! She could be a goat from the mountains of Spain or France, Italy or Greece!
ReplyDeleteMy darling friend, thank you kindly for coming to visit me today AND for taking my banner and putting it on your sidebar! You are just the best. I have put your name down for the tea set giveaway!!!!!!! It is gorgeous. A little polishing every so often will keep it pretty, and you can take photo shoots with it or use it. It is from England, and it's sweet.
OK, off to answer comments!!! Did you like my banner? My own photos, finally!
Precious friend, it is always so lovely to see your comments, and yes, that's good old me under the tiny bridge in Vernazza, Italy, in a great chain of five villages called Cinque Terre. You hike from one village to another along the cliffs of the Ligurian sea....bliss.
ReplyDeleteHAPPY DAY!
Thank you Penny,
ReplyDeleteYour support to my art mean more then you know, a special connection between us artist :)
I have been busy getting projects, custom orders, and artwork done clearing a path to paint my cabinets...kitchen cabinets that is, and that will be a job and a half, and now finding a place for the French mirror that hung over the cabinet that was in the kitchen area. Yikes! I should have entertained all this moving around stuff for the week freeing up my weekend for a more calmer relaxing weekend :)
I am looking forward to some more of your beautiful gardens and the creative things around your cottage home.
Xoxo
See you soon
Dore
Dearest Penny! I hope our emails are working! I just responded to you email and I hope you got it!

Good morning dear one! I will be back via email - I'm glad you got mine! Happy Sunday! Anita
ReplyDeleteHi Penny you should have called me, I would have brought my paint equipment :) ok! Paint brushes and what ever else I would need and drove on down and would have got busy with you, my daughter is also a big handy help!
ReplyDeleteI have dreaded this job now for 3 years, also the out dated oak, I so wish I could sand them sown and do way aging thing, making the totally me! But I am in that same boat of just painting them due to them on the wall and when I had sanded I said oh, oh! Heck no! This is way to messy for even me to deal with. Sand dust everywhere, so choice 2 was to degloss them as I am writing you, steal wool them, wipe the degloss off and then prime with 1.2.3 primer and then paint with a paint that bonds like nothing else drys so fast and as hard as anything. It will be then that perhaps I can do some aging and tint work to the creases will see how exhausted and sick of them by then and how I feel.
My kitchen is small area of cabinets, it's my investment home and had no plans on living in it, but with the economy and after the sale of my much larger home this is where are creativity rest for now. I am going to replace a few things and would love to do shelving but not sure how soon it will be placed on the market, and making it sale able as well.
Love when you visit Penny, you are so great for my ego :)
Lol.
Love yah girl!
But next time call me, I will get my fanny right down to help you :)
Xoxo

Thank you for stopping by, Penny. I am wondering if it's as hot there in California as it is here? I've got my air conditioner going all day.
